In a record breaking stand, Australian Shane Watson almost single handedly brought about Australia's series-clinching nine-wicket win over Bangladesh in Mirpur on Monday. Watson put on an unbeaten 185 from just 96 balls breaking two records: most runs in boundaries in an ODI innings and also the highest score by an Australian in an ODI.
Earlier, he was also contributed towards Bangladesh's barely competitive score of 229 for seven from their 50 overs with two catches and a wicket.
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat but were quickly on the back foot as the openers were send back. Mushfiqur Rahim and Shahriar Nafees posted half centuries to help propel Bangladesh to competitive 229 for 7 in 50 overs.
