Bangladesh remains winless in Super 10

Bangladesh ended their Super 10 WT20 campaign winless as they lost to Australia by 7 wickets in their final game for the group wooden spoon. After openers Tamim Iqbal and Anamul Haq left early, Bangladesh got a good start by a century partnership between Shakib Al Hassan and captain Mushfiqur Rahim. When these two departed with three more overs to go, the new batsmen pair of Nasir Hossain and Mahmadullah could not keep up the tempo and the Bangladesh innings ended at 153/5, perhaps 20 runs less than it could have. The Australian openers were in marauding form and soon raced to 98 before Warner fell just shy of his 50. Finch departed soon after for an excellent 71. Australia wnt on to get their first consolation win in this tournament
