New Zealand in Bangladesh, 2013

Kiwis get a consolation win in the only T20I

New Zealand ended their tour of Bangladesh in a positive note with a 15-run victory in the one-off Twenty20 International in Mirpur. Colin Munro and Anton Devcich hit swashbuckling half centuries to lift the BlackCaps to their second highest ever T20I total of 204 for 5. Munro was unbeaten with 73 off of just 39 balls while Devcich knocked off 59 runs off of 31 balls.

Bangladesh were in a bit of bother in their chase as they found themselves at 19/3 after just two overs. Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and Nasir Hossain took the battle to the visitors but their dismissal in back to back overs set Bangladesh back. The skipper fell to Corey Anderson after making 50 off of 29 balls, his maiden Twenty20 half-century, and eventually the Bangladesh innings ended at 189/9 in front of a disapointed sell-out crowd at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Tim Southee grabbed three vital and economical wickets.
