Abahani Krira Chakra concluded their dismal GrameenPhone Premier Division Cricket League campaign with a four-wicket defeat to promotees Young Pegasus in their last Super Six clash at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Electing to bat first, Abahani scored a fighting 243 for seven in the stipulated 50 overs, their captain Akram Khan topscoring with 72 off 111 balls.

Skipper Hasanuzzaman led the chase from the front with an 89-ball 72 as Pegasus reached 245 in 47 overs with four wickets to spare. Jamal Faisal (42) and Tanvir (32) were the other notable contributors for Pegasus.

It was Abahani's eighth defeat against as many wins.
