Bangladesh lost their first one day international against England by 6 wickets at Nottingham today. Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh posted 250 for 9 in 50 overs on a good batting surface. Bangladesh suffered a late wobble despite a solid middle order effort and lost 5 wickets for 30 runs in the last powerplay. In reply, England started brightly through a 75 run opening partnership and were never in trouble as they cantered home with 4.9 overs to spare with the loss of 4 wickets. Bangladesh also suffered major injury blow as top-scorer Raqibul suffered a hairline fracture and is out for rest of the tour while wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim suffered a cheekbone injury and will be rested for the last two ODIs.
