Mashrafe Mortaza has been named as Bangladesh captain for the triangular one-day series involving Sri Lanka and India.
The 26-year-old pace bowler picked up an injury in the West Indies soon after taking over as captain from Mohammad Ashraful and missed a recent home one-day series against Zimbabwe.
He was replaced by all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who led his side to victories against both the West Indies and Zimbabwe. Shakib has been named his deputy.
The tri-series begins in Dhaka on January 4. It will be followed by two Tests against India at Chittagong (January 17-21) and Dhaka (January 24-28).
