As Salahuddin pointed out, after Imad Wasim left, Mash didn't have a quality spinner on his side anymore, and played into Comilla's strength going with all pacers in the final.

in this age in T20, a SR of 110 is not good enough, even for an anchor

Shanto's BPL SR is 116.74 to be exact. To put things in perspective, the previous sheet anchors BD T20I team had - Tamim's career T20I SR is 116.96, Naim 103.42. We can wish for a more attacking batter all we want, but in reality, Shanto is the best option we currently have to partner with LKD.
That said, now that good amount of footage are out there to analyze him, international bowlers prolly will do even better to dry up his runs. He needs to work on increasing his range of shots. Right now he seems to favor his legside, not so much scoring on offside.

Depends on if the anchor can bat till the 15th over or so. Shanto has proven that he can go slow in the PP (run a ball) but get his SR up to 130 or so if he faces 50 balls plus. I think thats OK. Obviously the days he gets out before facing 50 balls he'll have a very poor strike rate, even under 100. But he was fairly consistent in BPL.

Shanto can be great choice as number 3 in ODI. I would like to see Rony Talukder open with Liton Das in T20.

I think the BPL might be the only tournament where the journalists require a translator to speak with the foreign players.
