At this point there is not much to go by. Once we get a result then we would be able to go through the numbers and analyze how the simulation works.

The warm up game had a low score even though you had a lot of batting. I think the HQ pitch might turn things around batting wise. However the bowling is the biggest worry for you IMO. Obviously the simulator is not taking Philander very highly (40 in 4 with 0 wkts) You might want to consider dropping Philander for Chigumbura and Morgan for Misbah for better captaincy points and batting average
I am not sure if the batting order makes any difference or not but it seems the high scores are coming in the top 4 or 5 positions. Pushing Wade up to open could be a good idea with Guptil at 3.

I think the changes brought decent results compared to the warmups. The batting is still letting you down. Positions of Tharanga and Guptil needs a review. Simulation's bowling changes do not make any sense. 3 wkts for nathan and yet he bowls 2 overs?

Agree / I see I'm a pacer short too. Considering giving captaincy to someone else.

- Dillu batted too low.
- Philander is actually not that good at T20.

My thoughts:
Strategy choices
Your current line up scored a decent amount of runs and took it close to one of the stronger teams in the league. So the conservative approach would be to stick with it and see if the team can edge out the next team. The aggressive approach would be to shuffle the batting order further to get the best out of the non performing players.
Bowling
Dilscoop advised not to go with more than two front line bowlers and 2 all rounders. If you follow this then the equation becomes a little simpler... Swann and Johnson could be your front line bowlers, Nathan, Dilshan and Duminiy could be the remaining bowling options. This way everyone bowls 4 overs and you can get the maximum out of Swann and Nathan.
Batting
The batting is a little complicated. I am still trying to figure out how the simulation works. It seems there is a tendency to collapse at the end of the batting with all teams. Now I am not sure if the collapse will happen regardless of who you put in or is it because the stats are not good for those players. So the safest thing to do is to put all your performing players in the top 6 to hedge against risk and then also put the non performing batters in the lower order to see if you can get the tail firing with the bat to get those extra 20 runs. Your original strategy was to bat opposition out of the game so we need to get the batters firing at all cost since you don't have much options with the ball.
Following that reasoning this is what i could come up with:
1. Wade
2. Dilshan
3. Ingram
4. Misbah
5. Duminy
6. Guptil (putting them here might avoid the collapse)
7. Tharanga
8. Nathan
9. Morgan
10. Swann
11. Johnson
In the real world with 9 specialist batsman there should not be any talk of collapses but this is a simulation so...

Not sure where else he could bat given that he scored a zero with the chance he got. What are your thoughts for the next game?

I'm still concerned about how the simulation is treating Morgan. Currently #1 ranked T20 batsman - England Lions captain. Strike rate 130+ and avg in the 30s. He is given the role of a finisher do he could be 7 or 8.

Just fyi by front line meant front line pace. So far 2 spinners shared the ball nicely. I dont know about trying more than 2 though. I wouldn't stack them up like BD.

well the other pace option Z bhai has is Philander, who went for 40 in 4 overs with zero wkts. Spinners have done a decent job so far in the sim i would say.
@Z bhai: I agree with you... Morgan is a very good T-20 player to be at number nine. I was just trying to manipulate the sim to get something out of the tail. Perhaps position shifts with Tharanga?
also in your original list of players and stats... Wade is not classifed as an opener so does that mean putting him at the top will reduce his chances? If so then Wade could go back to the position he scored fifty from in the WU game. Looking at the classifications... Guptil would have to be given a third chance as a specialist opener with Dilshan.

For next season cowboys need to inject some life into their middle order. Otherwise its a pretty good team.

We are also missing a pace strike bowler.

Doc, Malinga is resting in the elimination playoff game. Super fast strike bowler is over rated for this simulation. Why don't you make a simulation of your own??? I can help in creating strategy if necessary.
