Bangladesh can still reach Asia Cup Final 2014
So here's the scenario where we can reach the final even with all the other teams winning with bonus point against afghanistan and we failing to secure a bonus point:
SL beats India
BD beat Afg
Pak beat Ind
SL beat Afg
BD beat Pak
Ind beat Afg
BD beat SL
This permutation is the easiest and also most realistic route for us to reach finals. The points table will look like this:
SL - 13
BD - 12
IND/PAK - 9
AFG - 0
In other words, keeping it simple, we somehow should scrap three wins, even it is by 1 run against AFG, and hope SL beat Ind, and Pak then beat Ind. The last game for BD will be against SL, and if we'd have managed to win 2 games already (VS AFG & PAK), then I can say even SL would want to face us in finals rather than IND or PAK (you know what I mean )
Other ways for us to reach final is still possible, but they will involve NRR and bonus point calculations which is too complex.
In sha Allah will triumph this Asia Cup 2014!

Tomorrow's match is crucial. Sl defeating Ind makes our life a lot easier. And I think, SL this time is well prepared to win against Ind.

1st thing first. One game at a time. First win against AFG. Then we can think about the rest,

See, winning all games ofcourse is a must. But just for our sake so that we know what's going on, I thought what results of other fixtures will make it easier for us.

What it means is, we have no margin for error. So, take one game at a time and remove out-of-form or crappy bowlers.

I think it's too early to predict. Any of the top 4 sides can go through.

Top 4? Why not top 5? If AFG wins the rest of the games, they can also join the party.

Realistically, I think wins against afg and pak are possible. If we can manage to set a high total vs pak it could work. On the other hand I think chasing vs. Pak is a bad idea because our batsmen seem to have a mental fear of pak even on flat wickets.
Securing a bonus point vs afg is crucial.
A win against SL would be tough but again possible if there are no screw ups.

Let's take it one game at a time before thinking about it right now. We can't worry about what other teams do. We have to try and control our destiny and before we think about Pak and SL, let's think about Afg.

but this time Lanka looks more balanced & confident.
Ind bowling is pathetic, Kohli is the only man standing between Srl & a victory.
I think it's all possible in theory but practically no, we have to win all 3 games.
The harsh reality is Pak despite being an inconsistent team will easily beat us as usual,
Sanga will beat us too,
but we seriously need to comprehensively beat Afghan to get some confidence back.

We have to win the remaining matches and pray that the outcome of other matches go in our way. Years ago when we were like the Afghans thread like this would have been laughed at loudly but today it is very much a possibility.

We beat India, Srilanka and then lost to the paks in the final. Which other Asian team did we lose against?
