Tapash & Monju + Alok
Tapash Kumar should be included in the future test squad side - as the no. 6 batsman (at least until we get a steady & proper specialist batsman at the test level for this position). This way, we will also not have to think about including 3 pacers in the side as Tapash is a pacer himself.
Monju's name has been included in Wisden record books for scoring a duck for staying at the crease for over an hour (maybe 69 or 67 minutes to be exact). TV Commentator Tony Greg had told that Wisden keeps the record of this and that so far only 17 batsman including Monjurul Islam's name is (to be) there.
From Alok Kapali's solid defense and occassional shots off the bad balls had me thinking that he would be the top scorer for Bangladesh with 39. But, from nowhere Tapash Kumar had come along and scored his maiden fifty.
And thus, Tapash Kumar has included his name in the ELITE LIST OF SCORING TEST FIFTIES FOR BANGLADESH.
Other batsman in this Elite List are:
1) Habibul Bashar Sumon
2) Aminul Islam Bulbul
3) Javed Omar Belim
4) Al Shahriar Rokon
5) Mehrab Hussain Opee
6) Hannan Sarkar
7) Mohammad Ashraful (for his hundred; not fifty)
8) Tapash Kumar Boisya.
Notice here that no other bowler - or rather who is in the Bangladesh side as a bowler, got a test fifty so far. That is, all the rest of this list are SPECIALIST BATSMAN.

Its too early to judge Taposh based on one inning. 6 is a very importent position and true all rounder should get it.
Taposh surely has the potential.

POtential
POtential rakhen to apnara. Remember Ash's potential ? Polata ekhon ki kortase ta to shobbai dekhtasi. *sigh*
I was impressed with Baishsha. He proved that if you believe and are brave enough to apply yourself, you can do a whole lot more. 51 for 5, that was surely a joke against such a weak bowling. This was probably the WEAKEST test/ODI (even compared to Kenya) bowling we have faced in mny years. GRRRRRRRRRR

Naah, this is the weakest
Cept for Chandana (who bowled 5 ovs) and Jayasuriya. That match, we were all pumped up, now they are all LUTA.

Manju rocks
41 balls, no runs. If he can do it .... (do I need to finish that sentence?)
I just find Manju and Pilot to be the most devoted Bangladeshis in the whole team. Both play beyond means. They never play for themselves. I don't see Manju playing 41 balls in a league match and look at him here. GRRRRRRRRRRR.

You are right!!
I would give Monju one rose for his performance. He deserves it. It's because of him that Tapash was successful. We are all thankful to him for making Tapash a half-centurian.
