Default Wasim Akram to be a Bowling Consultant for National Team

-Got it from the FB group, I take it to be a very reliable source

If Shafi can learn how to swing it, with his pace he can be deadly.

Pont + Sultan of Swing = Super Good things

This might be true. Coz Mostofa Kamal was talking with NTV about him to bring here in BD as a bowling consultant for the WC.

Loitta rocks!!!

We badly needed a"spin coach" than to another pace bowling specialist along with Ian Pont. I believe, Pont has been doing good to understand our boys skill level and to work on improvement. I doubt what more benefits would give bringing Wasim as bowling coach.

i hope it does not turn into "too many cooks spoil the broth" !

I can teach em how to hide bottle caps too

On a serious note, totally unwanted. He might be a great bowler but not a great coach, but of course they could learn a thing or two from him.

This is not a new news. We heard about this 2/3 months ago or was it just a rumor?

IceMan himself can coach them IMO

What are they trying to insult Pont? If I was hired for a job, and couple of weeks into the work, they get another guy in, I'd be very upset and question about their faith in my ability to get the job done.

BCB will make 1 decent call, and 7 stupid calls. freaking Lotus

Do you even know that Loitta did not consult with Pont before appointing Wasim as consultant ?? The news itself is not confirmed and yet you made your statement !!!

Even if Wasim gets appointed as consultant, his tenure may not be more than couple of weeks.

We need a thinking coach, e.g., Aqib Javed, if we want to hire a consultant badly. But, this might be an unneeded hire. Pont is doing well. Why unnecessarily change things.

wasim was one of the greatest bowlers but as a coach he is not very good. not so long ago he was bowling advisor of a team named KKR and i have seen bowlers with big name and fame like Shane Bond, Charles Langeveldt, Ishant Sharma, Ajit Agarkar, Angelo Matthews, Ashok Dinda, Javed Unatkat (India's latest bowling sensation) all bowling crap like golir bowler. also somebody named mashrafe was totally overlooked there.

the only reason a great bowler like Wasim still hasnt got any good job is because he is more interested in hosting or commentary rather than hard work of coaching in the field. also he is not really good as coach. thats why he preferes being only a consultant.

i am happy with IAN PONT. as long he is there no need to think of anybody else even if the battery of garner, holding, marshal, croft wants to coach BD free.

Wow..overreaction? He's just going to be a consultant..not actually coach..probably right before the world cup he's just going to give a few tips but that's really it..Pont's the main guy and he'll lead them..

I agree 100%, unless Pont was consulted which i doubt because our board haven't got that much common sense. Hope Pont isn't pissed off at this

Just saw a special interview of Lotus Kamal at his home on ATN News, he confirmed that Wasim Akram has agreed to come as a bowling consultant, although the dates are not fixed yet. He said they are in talks with few renowned coaches for coming as a spin bowling consultant, he also informed that Ganguly might be brought again for the left-handed batsmen if JS doesn't have any prob with that!
