This May Be A Blessing in Disguise
Ok, this could be the defining moment in our cricket history as the exodas of players like Nafees, Aftab, Kapali and others, have dented the national team slightly, but not to the extent where they cannot survive.
Infact, all our players are not too different from each other and the next new kids on the block are not going to be any worse than the ones we have lost.
Who knows, the vacuum left by these players will surely give exposure to some young players who may never have otherwise have been given the chance (at the right time) and in the process might turn out to be the find of the century. (we hope)
I really do not think that the national team has been harmed THAT much as we were going nowhere anyway.
On the other hand, the ICL has definately become much much more interesting for tens of MILLIONS of Bangladesh cricket fans. I do not think anybody in this forum who is a true cricket fan will not be following the fortunes(or misfortunes) of the Dhaka Warriors and when the time comes, will all be cheering for them, especially when they play against the Lahore Badshahs.
In fact, I bet on the 10th of October, this forum will be buzzing with excitement and anticipation and I'm happy to announce that I for one, will definetly be cheering them on.
Who knows, if they manage to win a few games, they might even bring some respectability to the reputation of bangladesh cricket and if they don't, no one will care.

It is definitely a blessing. Atleast 13 additinal boys are getting the exposure in international environment.

I have a feeling that we will see some success in the NZ Tour. At least 1 ODI win and maybe 2. Also, we will draw 1 test match(not affected by rain.)

This is a blessing in Disguise...other than Aftab..none of those players had anything left to give to BD cricket. Moreover; they were holding back BD cricket by occuping valuable roster spots and not letting in Fresh young talent.
Alok and Reza gone nothing but THRILLS me. Now we can see Riyad and Rajib develop properly without having to worry about some medicore good for nothing taking their places.
Rafiq and Bashar are retired and I wish them both all the best and thanks for their contributions.
Aftab is a tricky one; but if I had to bet my money on him I'd say he'd have finished his career with an average not much better than what he has now.
SN always seemed to me like a talented, but unmotivated player. He never seemed to have appreciated the fact taht he was playing for his national team. I'm glad his arrogance and distraction is gone from our dreesing room.
I wish the Warriors or whatever their name is all the best!
But I'm a Tigers fan; and will be one even if all the current players took the money and left for the ICL. Because we fans don't support the naem on the back; but the flag in the front of the jersey!!! right people???
TIGERS ALL THE WAY!!!

What a bunch of losers. they gave up wearing their national dress for the ICL. When on tour, they are treated like VIPs in the host countries, given the best accomodation, all these guys have travelled the world at BCB's expense. All they had to do was to perform well. Now, they will only travel within India.
