Wascorni For England
Let's send Wascorni to England !!
I understand the "he's not experienced enough" etc. etc. argument, but he's already shown a lot more potential and maturity than someone like Talha, and also his explosive debut has already outshone Masri's.
Let's play Masri, Taposh and Wascorni as pacers - what's the worse that can happen ?

he is not in the 20 men preliminary squad anaunced. the way current selectors are working, it gonna be a while before polash gets a call.
remember, we were expecting a call for shahadat since the end of u19 world cup last year, he just got the call now.

Hecan get killed by the English batsmen, thus lose his confidence totally, BD may miss out a great "would have been".

I guess as first step we need to arrange a fund-raiser to buy a plane ticket and cover food and boarding cost for him.

Getting the visa would be the toughest part. I know a way. Lets get him married to a Londoni Koinna.

Yea its better to give him some time to establish himself in BD league. He is already performing superbly and couple more seasons like this will seal his spot in the national team.
Trial & Error is not the right solution in this case.
P.S: Visa problem abar kono problem hoilo naki, we can get a dalal from dhaka and send him to Morocco (or Sahara desert) & then to Italy by boat and then by a Cargo lorry to england.... Inshallah pouchhay jabe....

Everyone is talking about polash. Why not send Himel?
Isn't he the leading run scorer in the domestic league by a wide margin?

typical knee jerk reaction - guy plays 3-4 first class matches and we are ready to send him to the test team. Bhai, shobai to Wasim Akram na.

Its nice to know that we got it. We are so far ahead of Pakis on that.
If your 6 year old loves math. Teach him more. Don't send him to statistics class yet. He could lose his confidence and love for it.

Sure. Our players do have eating problems when they're abroad. Is he a good cook?

He didn't do too well in the 2nd innings. His team lost and he went 50/0 in 12 overs. Couldn't get the breakthrough.

Oh c'mon now guys - where's your adventurous spirit ?
For those who said it was a knee jerk reaction, a point to ponder - who many first class games did Masri, Taposh, Talha or Manjural Islam play before they were included in the test team ?
It's a great idea to have young players hone their skills in domestic competitions, especially for batsmen. However, if someone starts to stand out from the very beginning, then it's only fair to give them a chance. Worst thing that can happen (barring injury) is that he'll be a flop, and come back to domestic competition. On the other hand, he may end up with a pocketful of wickets in seaming english conditions, and that will be a big gain.
Sadly, I started this thread a little too late.

paco go eat a taco
no no no no. Go look up "no" in the dictionary.
For you info, England are warming up for Australia this summer, not for some guy picked up at some Grammen Pacehunt thing called Wascoroni.
Dont mean to be rude. Just saying that he need A LOT more experience playing first class.

I think BCB is nervous about rumers of his suspect bowling action. May be we do not know what BCB knows. I would be surprized if BCB has not already sent a tape somewhere for evaluation.
By the way does anybody have clip of his NCL miracles?

well polash did have a great ncl so far. but he is not experience enough to play for the national team yet. if he works hard and continue to perform he will be in the national team. but i would like to see him play for the a-team after the national league. but he will be sent to india for training after the league which should help him out. well good luck to him but national team for him needs to wait another year or two. he needs to be patients for couple of more year. the selectors are being careful now with new players which i like. players like polash golam rahman shahin hussien needs to perform in the domestic league and for the a-team before they can get call for the national team.

Yeah, send him to England with the 'A' team that will be touring soon. Too early for the national squad he has to proof himself.
Himel will be with the U19 boys down under!

No way Wascorni for England
Guys , ya must be crazy . Wascorni for will cost us the Series . He doesn't have enough experience in Test Arena , that would be too hard for him to get started , his First Class matches not even enough so far , only few as we say .So , would have to play 3 pacers but not Wascorni , We can try Shahdat with the new ball as well as Tapash . Mashrafe could be the 3rd option he is trying to be an allrounder getting hundreds in the domestic cricket and not getting any great wickets haha . He could be used as "Chris Crains" .............

On selecting? We had to pass more than 4 years' of grief & sorrow to get to the level where we are. Why are you forgetting what happened in the last world cup? The timing to introduce players like Kapali, Tapash in the middle of SL tour and just 1 year before the world cup was absolutely childish by our last selection team. Our board just got so pissed off that they had no other choice but to select the best people available - in Faruque, Atahar & Prince. And don't forget, Dav also is a big part of it all.

Well in four years our selection has been better than any selection process of pakis in the last god-knows-how-many-years.
Imagine players like saqlain Mustaq, Mustaq ahmed and until recently azahar mahmud didn't get chance in to the national team regardless of their performance because the head of selection had personal issues with them.
Azahard mahmud has been included only after special request from their coach.
Saqlain is currently injured, but he is one of the highest paid pakistani player playing in England domestic league.
They have the worst bunch of selectors (after the current zim selectors) in the world.
We learned from our mistakes in four years.
Considering the history of other test playing nations, that's exceptional!!
