Quite a while ago, I came across a book whose title and author I have forgotten. I don't remember where I came across this book either. However, one thing I read and remembered very vividly had to do with a certain verse from the Quran.
This verse is the 59th verse of the 3rd Surah (Al-Imran) and concerns Jesus (as).
Quote:
Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam . He created him of dust , then He said unto him : Be! and he is

On the face of it, there is nothing unsusual about this verse. In fact, one could read millions of times and it would have the same meaning. The verse debunks the Christian notion of Jesus being above and beyond anyone else by stating that just as God created Adam with no human parent, Jesus was created with no human father. If the former is accepted as true by Christians, why is the latter regarded as impossible?
The interesting aspect of this verse is however apparent by the statement:
Quote:
the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam

In other words equating the 2 Prophets with one another, something which, as far as I know, was not done with any other prophets in the Quran.
Further,
when one does a word search of the Quran, one finds that the number of verses in which Jesus (as) is mentioned by name is 25 total. Also the number of verses that mentions Adam (as) is also 25 verses.
All this seemingly provides further meaning and significance to the verse in question.
Which brings us to the important question of is this a product of chance in a book written by Muhammad (saw) or a divine miracle to be witnessed whenever you read the verse?
And just so you can make sure that 'Jesus' (as) is mentioned in just as many verses as 'Adam' (as), you can do a simple word search at this site:
