Is that right!!!!!!!???
What will happen to Mohsin Kamal?
We really need an experienced batting coach.
Mohsin Kamal only played 9 tests in his cricket life.
Many of our players played more than that -
I am not saying they are more experienced than Kamal.
But we are really lacking skills and temperment in
batting which Gordon might teach us better than Mohsin.

Gordon is the medicine
The way the then BCB handled the whole Gordon issue was shameful and some of us still haven't forgiven them. Anyways, if it turns out to be a reality - Canada and Kenya, here we comeeeeeeeee.
Well, maybe Mohsin can get us there too but I'd like to think that Gordon will be tougher on our players then the other coaches and he won't accept failure.

And
if Gordon does not get back before or during the world cup, and Mohsin Kamal cannot give us two wins at the minimum, then he is FIRED as well as Ali Zia.
Actually, if there was any way to fire Wasim Akram, for being the worst adviser ever to BCB president Ali Asgar Lobi, then we would do that in addition.

Also
Welcome back Gordon Greenidge.
You are our mentor as Dave Whatmore is to the Sri Lankans. (I am not sure - isn't Dave Whatmore the present Sri Lankan coach now?)

Hey, did anybody read what the football coach insisted upon after returning from Burma - haul your rear back to BKSP, now !! Some of the weeny boys even broke down in tears.
I don't remember on which tour - but Gordon had similar problems. I in particular remember reading how Akram Khan was fretting over the fact the our "popular" coach was all too strict about discussing the game on their way back to the hotel and not letting anyone get lost with their bajna etc.
See a trend here..no, not the fact that BD players are a bunch of weeny boyz when it comes to rubbing shoulders at the top level - or for that matter at any level, but the fact that no coach will ever get any respite from...you all know about that !!

Gordon and Kottan
Well, i still have my doubts about Gordon due to the circumstances involving his depurture.
As for Kottan, some lowlife BFF official wanted to make him the scapegoat after the Asian games debacle. Kottan has always asked for more training time (he got barely 2-7 days before the Asiad) and more practice matches for BD. BFF gets a whole load of money from ACC/Fifa for football development. Taka gulo jai kothai ?
The football team has played three practice matches so far. Two against a Myanmar (Burma) under 23 team and one against the BD Army. At least this time, they beat BD Army.
BY the way, both coaches are popular amongst the players no matter how much they whine. I don't know about Kamal but being from the subcontinnent, he might also have some rapport with the players. No indication to suggest otherwise.

According to the WICB VP
According to WICB VP Banks, there has been an offer made to Gordon. He has heard rumors that Gordon might come back.
That's better then nothing, eh ?

If I were to guess (maybe subconsiously hope instead), a deal was struck with Gordon. Else, why did he leave the country abruptly - he was very irritated by the "low life" Begalis, constantly badgering him to take on the reigns, or he needs to take care of things back home, before joining ?
And why did Viv Richards leave too ?
Selection committee crisis because of Gordon's impending resignation from whatever post he holds with the WI board ??
