BAD Light
Poor decision to continue playing under those conditions. It was DARK. We should have called it off after the first wicket. It was obvious that the players couldn't see clearly due to the light. We could have saved those two wickets.

We need to understand the tricks of playing big matches. But unfortunately we don't.

Was it beacuse they [BD team] wanted to play and score some runs? Still they could have asked soon after SN fall. I am clueless here, what the hell they are waiting for? Afraid of being called as chicken?!

And some of you were criticizing Tendulkar for taking light yesterday?

The weather condition was exactly the same for the last 30 minutes before they lose those three quick wickets, but the light was offered ages after that, really very poor umpiring to say the least. It was so dark that even on TV it was hard to see the ball and with the ball moving like it did it was simply unplayable. None of the batsmen showed the common sense to walk to the umpire and talk about it. If you can't learn the game from the greats, at least learn how to tackle the tough situations from them, even after seeing SRT taking light in a much brighter situation they learned nothing out of it.

TV viewers are in no position to know if it was unfit for batting or not. if the human eye was that precise, that too from watching TV, ICC won't have arranged for light meters in the first place.
leave that decision to the players and on-field umpires.

The light is definitely in issue, especially in Chittagong with the Bay of Bengal being as close to the new stadium as it is.
Imrul was caught plumb after needlessly playing across the line. Unforgivable really after getting a break just before his demise and looking good before the opening partnership hit "landmark" 50 runs.
Abir's 4 was streaky and scary but he went down to a good delivery that surprised him. Maybe he shouldn't have been that far out of his crease, or maybe he would've kept his bat angled down a bit more, but those deliveries are pretty tough to handle.
Tamim succumbed to an outstanding delivery.
I'm not sure how the light situation could've changed any of that ...

I am sure Tamim wouldn't look so dumb-founded to that delivery had he seen it properly..other thing itdid is skid a bit..light definitely was the factor that made a blockable great ball into an unplayable gem...Zaheer was bowling good tho.

Is that true? Well, in that case, the umpire cannot offer light unless the situation got worse. The batsmen could have asked to check every few overs once they got worried..the umpire of course would offer it if it got ANY worse..just a little bit.
Yes, I see they discussed straight after lunch..twice. 2nd time at 12:55. So a team decision cost us 3 wickets at a crucial period. So who took that decision? They talked with both captains. Was it Sakib, the openers (mohamodons), or the management?

I think it may have been the openers? The way Tamim was going during pre-lunch session, he might have thought that he didn't have any problem in seeing the ball in the dark - scoring 21 off 18 odd balls.
Anyways, it was a good thing to learn for both Tamim and Imrul - Tamim learning when to take the light offered by the umpires since he wasn't playing during post-lunch session as well as he was earlier - being in a good position. Also Imrul learning from Jamie Siddons about getting the technique right - for not making same mistake about lbw decisions. He always seemed a good candidate for lbw decisions to me.
About Shahriar Nafees - I think he was over-excited to just go in and bat as he changed his helmet after scoring a hook shot to a bouncer, showing off the BCB logo on his helmt and his chest - what a hot-headed player!
