23.1 Kasprowicz to Harris, no run, pushes it to cover, harris calls for
the single, McMillan responded and sent back by hariis, Symonds
picks up and throw towards Kasprowicz who whips off the bails, no
chance McMillan to come back on time

Australia are on heat aren't they. I did not think New Zealand would throw away wickets like that. How strange.

Goes to show how dominant Australia is in this sport and where the root of their arrogance lies. The bowling just ripped appart the New Zealand batting. Remarkable.

Their tail enders have some skill with the bat then. Shane Bond can hit a few thats for sure and he is not even at the crease yet.

Looks like the New Zealand bowling will be a bit frail today. I hope they prove me wrong becuase I loathe Australia.

Default Australia thump New Zealand by seven wickets to move into the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy.

ICC Champions Trophy, The Oval: Australia 199-3 beat New Zealand 198-9 by seven wickets

Two seam bowlers with a combined age of 66 restricted New Zealand to just 198 to set up a comprehensive seven-wicket victory for Australia at The Oval.

Aussies ease past Kiwis

The semifinal line up in the last champions Trophy was:

Australia vs Sri Lanka

India vs South Africa

An identical semifinal line up is possible in this Champions Trophy also

Kyle Mills with a first class batting average of 39 must be the best number 11 in world cricket, without a doubt. With so many batting allrounders in McMillan, Cairns, Styris, Oram, Harris no wonder you get batsmen like McCullum and Mills wasted down the order. Bit like Shane Watson, far too good a batsman to be down at number 8

Aussies dominated once again. Amazing stuff! Kiwis are by no means a poor ODI team. Just shows how far Aussies are ahead of the pack as far as ODIs are concerned.
