We can beat them in either format. We're highly unlikely to beat them in Tests because we will play a couple of dead woods (hope Anam and Mominul push them out) and we will probably leave out better short term pacers in order to accomodate crap bowlers like Abul and Dollar. But I think Bangladesh are a more talented side. Dilshan may be retiring and Sanga, Jaya, Thilan are all on their last legs and their pacers aren't much, if any, better than ours.
Isn't this a March tour?

If we have quality fast bowlers we can.

Not in tests, no. Herath is in good form and SL have pretty good batting lineup despite recent failures. I hope BD put up a fight though. Need some temperament to draw but I doubt it really.

I doubt. We may sustain till 5th day on first test and may fall into an innings defeat in the second.
I hope not. We want fight and some dominating sessions to prove class.
In ODI's we have a better chance to win although I doubt we can make the series.

a couple of thoughts for Tests against Sri Lanka:
* I am willing to debut Anamul and Mominul both in tests and give both of them an extended run...
* We should use Rubel Hossain in Tests if the pitch is pace friendly, otherwise, we should not play Rubel Hossain in Tests...I believe Shahadat Hossain has run out of stocks at the moment. Our Pace Bowling still remains a huge worry. I would most probably go with Shafiul and Nazmul Hossain combo..
my lineup for Tests:
1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Enamul Haque Bijoy
3. Mominul Haque
4. Naeem Islam
5. Shakib al Hasan
6. Mushfiqur Rahim (wk)
7. Nasir Hossain
8. Mahmudullah Riyad
9. Sohag Gazi
10. Shafiul/Rubel/Abul
11. Nazmul Hossain
extras: Marshall Ayub, Mehrab Hossain jr. Mohammad Ashraful, Elias Sunny, Abdur Razzak, Mashrafee Mortaza, Nazmul Hossain
This is my 18 squad that should travel to Sri Lanka(Based on current form): Tamim Iqbal, Enamul Haque Bijoy, Mominul Haque, Naeem Islam, Shakib al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim(wk)(c), Mahmudullah Riyad(vc), Nasir Hossain, Sohag Gazi, Shafiul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Abul Hasan Raju, Mahrafee Mortaza, Elias Sunny, Abdur Razzak, Nazmul Hossain, Marshall Ayub, Mehrab Hossain jr/Mohammad Ashraful

From cricinfo's IND-PAK match commentery feedback:
Bip: "There used to be teams called Kenya and Zimbabwe. Can we invite them to india? (ps: cant risk inviting Bangladesh, there is a risk of themcausing a whitewash as well)"
Finally they are showing some respect to us.

I agree with One World and shakibrulz...A lot of folks seem to be underestimating SL. SL lost to a very good home side in Aus in very trying conditions, and unfortunately for us they gained a lot of confidence by improving drastically in the last test match. Sangakarra is one of the best to ever play the game...Jayawardane got back into form just in the nick of time by hitting strong back to back half centuries. I expect one or two big hundreds if not double hundreds from these two. Even Dilshan and Samaraweera will be a handful in home conditions against our bowling attack.
Even though we've improved in the past year, we're still just a good home side in limited overs cricket. We've got ways to go in test cricket especially in overseas conditions.

BCB should get the coaching staff issue sorted out ASAP. Then get ready for the the tour starting on the laptop, planning, and then with proper team selection. Start the process right now, rather waiting till the last second

taposh should get a call at this time, he seems to be in good form. Take the advantage of inform bowler. I prefer Taposh anyday over sharapova the shahrukh the Rajib khan.

i would like to see taposh in BPL. Lets look at him performing on tv. I know t20s are not good indicators but i prefer to watch them live and then make a proper judgement. Sometimes the stats can be misleading, and at times, when Gazi is said to be able to bowl an inswinger to dismiss a batsman i have some doubts
Thats one good thing about BPL, we can see the youngsters for ourselves

In one way this would make sense to choose a veteran like Taposh for the pace department. As worst case scenario, would be perform similarly as current battery like Rubel or Rajib. Trying a newbie may backfire and cause further damage compared to existing quicks. India called back Agarkar after a long break and he did not disappoint the selectors. Considering the situation, bringing in someone who is well experienced and doing lot better in domestic may suite well for the team.

Pace bowling like always is a worry. That being said Sri Lanka doesn't have any world class fast bowlers in their line up either. They have good decent bowlers, that our batsmen can either play their deliveries on merit or make them look world class. Heraths been their main bowler though and the might bring in Randiv/Mendis.
Our spinners aren't too shabby themselves and hopefully Shakib gets fully fit too. We should be looking to score 700+ runs (and more) every test we play. Its okay if we don't win. Lets learn to draw matches for a start. Bat long, bat hard, focus. And hopefully the spinners will then cause problems.

Though Taposh is inform but after long time he is playing good and those were only two matches. If he would be selected, he needed to show some extraordinary performance. His performance makes him keep on observation only.
