One Off 20/20 being planned between Kolkota Knight Riders and Bangladesh
http://howrah.org/sports/16588.html
Sound like a good Idea, I hope Shah Rukh Khan and the BCB can get this done

June 6: Bangladesh are upset that their players were "ignored" for the Indian Premier League but hope that the doors will open next year.
In the lead-up, they plan to bring a dash of the IPL’s flavour to this country and efforts are on to arrange a match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Bangladesh Tigers.
A local organisation here is reportedly taking the initiative and it is learnt that a proposal has already been sent to the Knight Riders CEO for the one-off tie.
"The IPL was a super hit here. So much so that the cricket board is going to introduce a Twenty20 championship at school level," said a source close to Bangladesh Cricket Board.
"But people here are aggrieved at the fact that nobody from the Bangladesh team got a call up. We supported Dada’s (Sourav Ganguly) team. It will be a full-house if they come here."
But the packed itinerary could be a deterrent. After the home tri-series, Bangladesh go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup and then to Australia in August.
India too have a chock-a-block schedule.
Fans, however, believe that the Sourav-Shah Rukh Khan combine can work magic.

If this is the case, then our cricket is not in good hands!!
If they learn cricket by playing T20 at the school level, at Ash age they all will become T5 players at best.

I can guarantee that Shahruh will consider very seriously, if the proposal is from BCB. He doesn't miss chances of even small promotional opportunity. KKR is his own platform for his publicity/his future career/Red Chillis entertainment his company. so don't be disheartened, it might happen at some later time when the players will be relatively free.

okay. i also agree that Shahrukh doesn't miss chances of even small promotional opportunity and KKR is his own platform for his publicity but how is it related to taking players from Bangladesh?
on the contrary, i would say, since he is very much worried about his reputation and success and this time he had to taste failure, next time he would be even more serious in player selection and taking Bangladeshi players would be the last thing he would like to do. probably he would rather choose to sell the team before doing that. since Shahrukh's movies are not released in Bangladesh, he would not even consider to increase his popularity by taking players etc.
donno on what basis you are so sure that you can also give guaranty.
please accept the fact that Bangladeshi players are very bad and at least in next 5 yrs, they'r not gonna get any offer from IPL for sure (no guaranty they would be offered after 5 yrs either).

A very interesting news indeed.
Not sure how the Board(s) would manage the time for it, but im sure its gonna be a huge sell out for the Dhaka fans.
I would hate to miss that chance.
