This loss is quite unfortunate. I guess few of our players were quite unlucky to get the LBW including myself. Although I must admit this pitch had nothing for the batsmen. Regardless, we could have won this match. For some players being overconfident played a part here in this loss. We must learn to respect our opponents and treat every ball by its merit.

Indeed, maybe after bowling them out for 89 or so in the 3-day match, team was a little over-confident.

Fishlipps.no-ip.org bowler, silks, scored 36* and took 3/10 from 7 overs... true all-round performance, and man of the match.

Time to look at the world rankings.

Oh dear, what a mess. We'll really have to be a lot more watchful in the next two games - we should be able to chase down scores like 138 with our eyes closed.

For the next game, Bancan will be promoted to number 6 and Miraz bhai will bat down the order. This is to put the former's batting and the latter's fast bowling abilities to full use. We could definitely use Miraz bhai's pace to unsettle the opposition batsmen earlier on in the inning.

Otherwise, the team from the first ODI remains unchanged. If we can't bat, there's no point in making changes - one or two players will probably not be able to make a large difference if we don't click well as a team.

Unfortunately due to technical difficulties (without going into detail, there was a database error which has since been rectified) play was forced to be cancelled today.

Tomorrow (which conveniently acts as a reserve day) will see the replay of the 2nd ODI.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Fishlipps faced Banglacricket today in their 2nd ODI, and wound up being defeated by 2 wickets. You can see the scorecard here:

It was another exciting game and we look forward to the next

Well, once again, we started off well but lost our way in the middle. Promoting Bancan up the order turned out to work pretty well in our favour - he was definitely the hero of the day.

Good to see the series levelled after two games. There will be a few changes to the side going into the decider tomorrow.

The squad for the third ODI is as follows:

1. AsifTheManRahman
2. MasterBlaster
3. Hatebreed
4. Nasif
5. Rubu
6. Bancan
7. James90
8. Sunniath
9. Adel_chain_gang
10. Miraz
11. bourny3

As expected, some of the reserves are being given a game on this decider of a match, while some of the off-form regulars have been rested in an attempt to give them some breathing space ahead of our next schedule (whenever that may be).

Oh dear, the batting's been terrible throughout the series. It's the bowling that won us the matches that we won.

Our batting didnt click as much as we'd have liked. We've got to get back to the nets and shun up our skills and work on the details. We've got to bring our A game to the table everytime we're out there, and there's no alternative to that. It was quite unacceptable to lose a series like that against the likes of Fishlipps.no-ip.org. Hopefully our future matches will bring better results.
