Sharif still injured
Mohammad Sharif is still injured and is still looking at the BCB for high hopes.
Look at today's (26/5/03) Prothom Alo.
I think that this fellow has the goods in him to be either a specialist middle order batsman or replace Khaled Mahmud Sujon some day.
Among all the pace bowlers, he could bowl reverse swing even at the age of 16/18 and he could bat with a lot straighter bat than most of the other lower order batsman.
But all that will take time as he is still injured since January 2002.

The negligence to Sharif is pretty obvious. He was the only BD pacer effictive with the old ball. I think he was a good support bowler.
BCB should take care of this talent. Dont know why they neglected him before, but it is not too late.
The media in BD should press this issue hard. What a waste it will be if this kid never returns to international cricket.

To add more, if Sharif's career is over because of the negligence of BCB, that will only make BD cricket future suffer more as other pacers will learn to play safe and not give 100% as they will know, if they hurt themselves, Sharif's fate awaits them.

u r Right Rajputro!!!!!!!!!!!
He is a brilliant bowler......... he knew how to swing the ball. very well....
and another thing...
In prothom alo i read today ..... that T A shekhar.... (coach from MRF Academy india who came to train the pace bowlers)... said that Mashrafe is still following old bowling action...... which can make him injured anytime...............
I think ppl like mashrafe and sharif should be handled with care........
