Sakib was too slow... did anyone notice his flow in techniques against quality pace attacks? He was not comfortable at all against bounce and looked out of the place in the beginning... he ended up making a decent score though and liked his determination but somewhat disappointed.

agree with Hatebreed there completely.
Just a random thought : I would like the fact that Ashraful yet again failed to prove himself turn out to be a positive one, one that sees Mehrab jnr take his spot in the playing XI, for the next match atleast!

Good point, I was hoping this would be Ash's decisive inning but alas he failed. Hopefully now the selectors will make the right decision by dropping him and give Mehrab a chance.

Actually in these matches I dont want to look for the positives and negatives. Just three options for the BD team:
1. Qualify for the champions trophy: You are my hero!
2. A loss to Zimbabwe: Go to the hell.
3. Win against Zimbabwe; but not qualifying: That's normal. Now shut up and dont tell me you have got this talent or that!

I don't think team management will decide to drop Ash in favor of Mehrab. Now WI match is a must win match. IMO, team management will give Ash another opportunity against WI. If he fails again, they might bring Mehrab in for the last game.
On another note, SN might get replaced if he fails again WI in a similar fashion. Team management is not happy about his approach.
IMO, against WI, Shahadat should come in favour of Rasel. That's the only change reqd.

I agree with you, he played some really fine shots today, and besides the required run rate was climbing and sakib was finding it hard to score. he was especially punishing towards fernando's wayward bowling.
it was good also to see that forhad has got the hard hitting ability like aftab.

Negative: we lost the game.
Positive: none because we did not win.
as simple as that.

Positives for me -
1. Batting of Sakib, Farhad, Mashrafi and Razzaque.
2. We scored 265-9 even after our FLOP-ORDER made us 78-4.Earlier when our FLOP-ORDER cracked, we used to all-out by 150-180 range.
3. We played horrible in the practice match in BD, but came back allright for the International Game.I look it as a sign that our young guys are getting more matured to deliver when it matters most.
4. Bowling of Razzaque and Rafiq(as always).
5. Young boys fought hard.
Negatives are -
1. Bashar (In terms of batting, captaincy and responsibility).
2. Ash-Fool(Will never learn).
3. Aftab(Still can't control his prooceedings and it's a crime when you always get a good start but consistently fail to convert that to something big).
4. Mashrafi's bowling during the last overs of the innings. He is proving not suitable to depend on the pressure situations.
5. Rasel didn't bowl well, though it might happen in one game.
Of course, few of us will be more happy to find negatives than positiives. For me, I am hopeful. For the same old reason - People who don't have hope, don't have much.I will take my chances with positive things I have found and will keep hoping for better performance from the team of my country.

* running between the wicket was poor
Hey, I thought our running between the wicket was pretty good, except for Shahriar Nafees. I wonder how long Shahriar Nafees would last as the Vice Captain with such a poor fielding and running skill. If he can't get some runs, he is totally useless.
