Injured or not, fostering a cult of personality is bound to lead to several deep disappointments.
That said, Shakib is one of the most talented young players we're fortunate to have in Bangladesh. He bats, bowls and fields well enough to be an indispensable element of all BD sides IMHO.
Just give him time to mature as a cricketer, and enjoy the results when he starts to hit his peak range still more than SEVEN years form now.

Hey, dont cry, Sakib has injured his finger, his finger has to heal, they are taking no chances with him. He might play in one of the warm up matches in South Africa, but definitely not against Uganda, so let's hope that he is well by the 8th or 9th September.

Welcome to BC Ramisa and rainmaniac!!!
I just read in Daily star that shakib is recovering quickly from the fractured finger. He took some catches with tennis balls during practice!!! You 2 don't have to be sad anymore!

It seems some of our young tigers are quite popular with the young tigresses. Has any of our players got dedicated fan club?
