WEIR Notes/Observations:

Batting:
  • this is only the 2nd time since the NZ tour last year that Tamim has gone down in the ratings
  • he still remained as one of our top 3 batters
  • Sakib's decline since the Pakistan series is troubling
  • Junaid hopefully has thrown the monkey off his back
  • though he played poor cricket for the most part, Ash improved his rating with 2 semi-solid scores in consecutive matches
  • Riyad does not seem to be ODI material

Bowling:
  • Masri finally reaping the rewards of great bowling dicipline
  • Sakib proving to be extremely efficient with the ball
  • Naeem did well with the ball, and if he can turn the ball it will be a great addition to our one dimensional spin attack
  • Rasel is, as ATMR said, "a new ball genius"
  • i like Siddons/Ashraful's ploy of using Rajib as a "closing bowler"...lets see how it works out...

Hopefully sakib can turn around his batting. We really need it.
