Default Master Choke Artists

I am waving my white flag, I Am proud of them but they choking down to art form. I Think its almost 15 matches now that weve thrown since that fatullah test. If they could have won a few(3?) this losing culture would have been vanished.

We are still very much in the match... wickets in the morning session will bring more pressure on NZ batters... need wickets first!!

Today players fought hard. It's the wicket that really got easier. We always have seen this in CTG. On 4th day, batting becomes easiest. On day 5, again ball starts to do something. Hoping to see that tomorrow.

Is it fact? Or are we playing "lukochuri" with us to keep the dream of winning the match alive?

I don't blame the players today. A couple of times Shakib could get a wicket today. There is some thing called fate which we cannot skip. Let's see what is in store for us.

I agree with it. But my question was that either the wicket will be getting worse or getting better for batting. Why there will be sudden jump like an inpulse on the 4th day?

Wow you give up quickly... Also to be choke artists you actually have to be in a position of winning then give it all away repeatedly... Bangladesh doesnt really get into a position of winning much do they....

Plus they still need 172 runs... it can go either way still.

Yesy Fatullah is coming to the mind but BD has fought to their last breath this match. That's for sure.

Win or lose they are not chokers. They gave their all. Salute to BD team. Best player needs to play domestic cricket. Intl cricket is not for him. Time to give Mash the reigns and Shakib as deputy. Waiting for Raqibul to make the second down as his permanent place.

"Is fighting"

These are the types of competitions, for which, "Winning/losing doesn't matter". We are going into 5th day, yet it is 50 / 50. Still anybody's game.

If we can do it on regular basis, victory will come automatically.

Exactly. How often do our test matches go to 5th day (without rain)... How often are we still in the game in 4th day. I mean.... we are making NZ bat for a second time.... thats already an improvement over the last series.

I'm with Warwolf bhai and Yaseer here....
The pitch has completely died on us and there was nothing for the bowlers.
The whole day yielded only 4 wickets, i think that speaks for itself, esp when 2 of them had been our batsman no 9 and 10!!

Only God knows how the pitch would act tomorrow!
I want cracks.
Anyone?

Funny, we say our boys give up too early ... what about us?

Let me put it this way, so far NZ never able to score beyond 250 in this series [including ODI] yet we think the game is over! They are still 172 runs away of target with 8 wicket in 5th day of a test, any thing can happen in a session. No way its over yet, even if they get the target ... credit should given to NZ batsman too.

Spot on. Plus the Kiwi's seem to have learned from their mistakes in the first innings. They are taking less chances and punishing the bad ones. Plus they know very well how they should play Shakib. At the same time the other three bowlers really look out of sync.

The problem is we let 2 of the weaker links in their batting lineup (How, Redmond, Flynn) get 1/3rd of the required runs. Most of their real batting is still there (Vettori, Taylor McCullum, Oram)

As far as I remember, there always remains some thing for the bowlers in the day 5 in the CTG divisional stadium.

in all likelyhood this game is lost. i think NZ will sneak by with 4 wickets intact and someone playing an unbeaten 100. it always happens. first inzy, then ponting, now ross.

however, a lot could still happen.

rajib seems to have been troubling batsman with no luck so far. he's been getting a fair amount of edges and strikng the pads. if can get some reverse and take a wicket or 2 (vettori should be vulnerable) early morning, and then we take the new ball and take another wicket or 2, we'll be into the tail. give rajib the 2nd old ball and see if he can wipe out the tail.

chances are slim that it will work, but we've come this far, might as well stick around till th end of this one.

A lot will depend on Rajib and Shakib today. If they can bowl well then some thing may happen. With the new ball, Mash must strike hard. Do or die situation for the players. I hope the players will give 110% today.

Come on boys. Come on.......

Im feeling the same way, still a long way to go but our best opportunities to win have well and truly passed. we need a minor miracle of sorts and someone to step up, maybe raj can deliver a few wkts

Times like this our players need to hear the vote of confidence from the biggest fans they have.
Did anybody really think NZ is going to lie down with their paws up? This is a very good situation for. If we can win this match it would be a great achievement given fight they would have to put up.
Tight bowling, agressive fielding, and desire to win that's all they need to put in tomorrow. Let us earn the win so the world can look at us and say we earned it. If we can not do it this time we will try again tomorrow. Giving up or chocking can not be an option.
If we are mad at the selectors or certain players (we all are at certain extent) we can always have a go at them in due time. Right now is the time to support and encourage.
GO BD BOYS

and lose sleep over umpiring decisions, tsk tsk.

We should all sit back, relax and enjoy the game. It's far from over. Look how far we've come, dreaming of a test win against a G8 side. We'll win matches as long as the players are enjoying themselves out there. Remember, it is New Zealand who have everything to lose here, not us.
