Default Farhad Hossain, Mizanur Rahman for tests?

Farhad Hossain been playing for a while now and has been performing regularly. Mizanur Rahman also looks solid...Should they be given a go in test squad? what do you think?

I think they need more experience. They should definitely be considered for overseas A team tour.

Farhad Hossain just based on stats is also a handy off-spin bowler. I think he needs to establish himself as a prime batsmen(a well recognized batsmen) to make the national team. his List A stats don't look as impressive.

Mizanur Rahman has not even played for the Academy team even. So there's no way he should be brought in yet. Let him gain experience there and also in the A team before considering him. Also Farhad Hossain has always been a consistent FC batsman. He should get a few more chances in the A team but he has competition and see it being tough for him to make it.

Imrul and Junaid both making a case to be second opener. Junaid the front-runner in tests, considering his better technique. Imrul in ODIs. Forhad Hossain definitely is good in batting. Can he come in at No.3? If so, slot him in. Nazmul can be kicked out. And Shahriar Nafees isn't a long term option by any stretch.

Mizanur is in contention to get in to the team in 18 months' time. Let us hope he does well in the next NCL as well...

Why do we never see standout pace bowlers?

Mizanur

farhad is a good prospect for tests but he needs to force his way into the test team through runs scored. that means he needs to score consistently so that when one of the current test batsmen falls into a slump the selectors feel it's worth calling him up. the other way to do it is to just score so many runs he puts the thought into the selectors minds that he could be better than a current one.

Who's place they should take? Why not the same ODI team that had been successful?

we're talking tests not ODIs.....but atm i don't think we should change the middle order. we are still look for a 2nd opener and a #3 but anamul takes one of those spots and i don't think farhad is top 3 batsman, maybe the #3 spot but i'm not sure i mean we should probably continue with jahurul or bring up shuvagata or asif for one of those 2 spots and give the other to anamul

With very little to no change can can play that ODI team for test. Keep in mind, Shahadat is actually more suited for test than odi.

test? what test? wish icc gives test status to IRE and AFGAN. then at least we will be able to play some and show the rest of the world were we stand. playing a test every 1 years is taking us no where.

Afghanistan wont get test status they are still an affiliate nation , they dont have cricket facilities and cricket is still not so popular these as much as in our countries many people started to learn about cricket after Afganistan went to world t20 .
for test status you need many other factors involved such as cricket facility first class structure , the number of young players coming up , popularity of cricket and every other factors are involved with it.
BD got it too early thanks to Dalmiah and saber hossain.
IRELAND has better prospects for test cricket since they are now structuring and investing in first class cricket and they have a large number of young players coming in to the side .

but right now BD is not a minnow as it used to be in terms of one day standard and t20, bit for test cricket i still a long way to go the standard needs to be improved ther eis not many cricket academies besides BKSP and national academy in Mirpur.
What about other facilities.
not many are available and no Proper cricket coaching fro junior or school level students even in sri lanka cricket is now a subject they need to pass in schools.
Just proper basics need to be taught.
not many people play cricket here knows the basics of cricket
