Default Questions for Mohammad Isam

You guys all know who is.. our CI correspondent and possibly the most well informed Journalist on our cricket. He is currently in Toronto and I met him briefly today and planning to meet again. i thought this would be a great opportunity to ask him some questions we are curious about. So here we go,

post a question you want to ask Isam bhai and I will select the best ones to ask him. Dont ask him anything you know he cant answer (nothing overly confidential)

So lets go! This is your chance!

And mods.. once we get the interview, can we get this into a FP article?

The youngsters have failed with the bat and ball. Is BCB thinking about replacing Samaraweera and Walsh.

If Isam can ask BCB if they are thinking about Jayawardene at some point becoming the national team batting coach (prior to WC 19)

Jeeshan bhai already asked about Walsh.. maybe reward the question that involved the young batsmen and Samareweera and Jaya?

Yes...Rinat bhaiya, very good initiative you have taken. Thank you.

Please ask Isam bhaiya -
1. Who was Dizzy (Isam's previous BC nick/account)?
2. Where is he now?
3. What inspired to have the name Dizzy? Dizzy Gillespie, the American Jazz maestro?
4. Why dumping Dizzy? I liked Dizzy better.
4. Also what is Isam's favorite food? Does he prefer bhaat and Torkari over motor pulau and Rezalaa?

Cricket related:
1. Who is Mirpur's Groundsman? Is he also the same professional responsible for all the other Test venues in Bangladesh?
2. What is the height of average grass in the outfields of Mirpur, Osmani, Chittagong and Khulna?
3. Is it possible for Isam to post a section cut detail of the drainage system in 1-1/2" scale here in this thread? Would like to see it.
4. What was the highest temperature during a Test match in Bangladesh history and how did the visiting team handle it?
5. At Mirpur, are the pitches aligned
a. East to West.
b. North-South
c. Or cross angles
Why?

If I think of anything else, I will add or post them soon.

Thank you again.
BK

BK
Zahid Reza Babu is the pitch curator of BCB. He is responsible for overseeing all the other test venues. Gamini Silva from Srilanka had the responsibility for Mirpur before the contract ended.

I don't know the height of the grasses in Bangladeshi grounds, but they do use standard Bermuda grass in Mirpur. BCB has the plans of planting own grass in the future.

Not a question, but I hope Isam does something regarding our bowling woes, and that includes spin bowling. I'm not too happy on Walsh being our fast bowling coach. Just look at the state of Mustafizur. He needs to write a report.

Dear Isam,

Being that you were a spinner, what do you think of the 4 pacer strategy? Who do you think is the best specialist spinner in the country right now?

Do you think the "5 pillars" have reached their peak and it will be a steady decline from now on? How much can we realistically and honestly expect out of them in WC 2019?

What is the whole story with Nasir Hossain? Give us the inside scoop as to why BCB is extra hard on him.

When Mushfiqur does retire, do you think he will go down as cricket's worst ever wicket keeper?

I once saw a report of yours in a roof that looked VERY familiar to me. By any chance, did you ever do a report in road 6, Dhanmondi, Dhaka?

Thank you for your time.

Thank you Rinat for the initiative Here are my questions:

Dear Isam,

1. Can you please shed some light on the relationship between the players and Hathuru, provided you have some inside info?

2. Also, have you got over the unfortunate events that happened to you at BC forum in the past and will you return in near future as a valuable member again?

What in the world is he doing in Toronto? And curious to know if his salary is on par with his peers (as in the other reporters of cricinfo).

1) Is Farhad Reza our answer to Ben Stokes?

2) How the hell did Tanvir Haider got into the national team?

3) Who does Shabbir really think he is? All that swag and no goddman result.

4) what does Riyad "the beast" eat for lunch

5) Name 2-3 future prospects to be excited about. Ideally someone who will debut in 2-3 years

6) Recent report suggests that coach and staff are trying to teach Fizz the inswinging delivery (ala Amir's delivery to Rohit). Has he been successful?

7) Taskin knows only two lengths. Bouncers or full lengths. Why is he so dumb?

8) Finally on a personal note, are you auditioning for Star Jalsa? Because lately all your articles seem either very dramatic or too focused on Rubel's sexcapades or Sunny's erotic desires.

Ask him to come back to BC forum and be a regular contributor. We miss him.

To me Fizz is not 100% yet. Does he feel the same way? His speed has considerably reduced. Is it intentional to avoid further injury? Or something else?

In off season, or at breaks, do players work on their game? elite players. AKA Shakib? Tamim? Sarkar? GC - Ghola chokh?

I second this. We all deserve an answer to this question. Additionally, why do we always have a passenger on the team?

Just young and rich. Found some success and happy with his skills as is. Not our only cricketer with this problem.
