Breaking news: Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out of the Asia Cup after fracturing his left wrist during Bangladesh's tournament opener against Sri Lanka in Dubai. He is likely to be out of action for at least six weeks.

My soul is ready for another Ash comeback

Please no Anamul/SS, it will most likely be Imrul or Shanto

Bro.. you are optimistic. Without Tamim, it wont be easy to beat Afg. Let alone go to second round.

I say bring in Afif.

Could be a blessing i disguise. Enough time to get Shanto prepped for a top order spot before the world cup.

I could see how he came back with a broken hand! What a man! What a character. What a role model to a nation. Hats off, Tamim Iqbal Khan!

Shanto or Mominul please. They're in the squad for a reason.

Would be a good opportunity to prep shanto for WC but by the sounds of it he’s still not fit...still recovering from the hand injury, in which case mominul will probably jump ahead of him and be given a go.

Who’s going to open? I’d call Sarkar up. ODI is his best format.

Mominul should come in stead of Mosadekk, and Bat at 3, plus chip in with few overs with the left arm.

Shanto and mominul are there as top order replacements so probably one of them, but a I said above shanto still isn’t 100% so we could see mominul opening.

That or they’ll get mithun to open.

Is he still injured? I was hoping mithun would open and Shanto get slotted into 3.

Cricbuzz have said shanto is still recovering from his dislocated finger.

They’ll prob stick with shakib at 3.
