They're 18 away from being the new record holder of the highest partnership

The final push. 4 overs left. 15 runs/overs would do it.

End of long 17th over. 234/0. Surely new world record will be set today.

Rankin gets a wicket. I am not sure if good or bad for Ireland. Usman's SR was 152.

Highest runs in T20 history 278/3. Previous record 263/5. This should stand for a while.
Highest partnership in any wicket.
Highest partnership in opening.
Highest # of sixes 16 by an individual. (Can't believe Gayle don't have this - Motivation I guess for him)
Second highest run by an individual Hazratullah Zazai 162*.
Tied 17th in total # of 6's in an innings = 22.

Afghans probably havent chased such a high total though.
Call me when they score 278 in an ODI against a team other than Ireland or Zimbabwe. That will be a bigger achievement IMO.

They almost beat us in a home series, beat WI and smashed us away from home in a T20i(white wash), I think they are very good team and one to watch for.

We chased it vs Sri Lanka in the Nidahas Trophy I believe, at their home ground, but was it the 4th highest successful chase?
