Premier hockey
The Premier Hockey League 2004 will begin with the match between defending champions Abahani Limited and Azad Sporting Club tomorrow at 3:00pm at the Moulana Bhasani Stadium. Another title contender Mohammedan Sporting Club will begin their mission on November 27 against Wari Club at the same venue. Sonali Bank will face Mariner Youngs on the same day.
In all ten teams, including newly-promoted Azad Sporting Club, will participate in the league. The first-round matches will finish on December 26. Later the top five teams will play in the super-five phase.
Each team was allowed to register and play three foreign players in the league. Last year they were allowed to hire four overseas players.
The chairman of the title sponsors Green Delta Insurance Company Nurul Absar is expected to inaugurate the league as chief guest.

After cricket, hockey is the main game of Bangladesh. Because Bangladesh is one of the strongest team in both cricket and hockey.

'Joke' ???? or 'No Joke' ?????
Then why Kabadi is not in the list. We just managed to be White Washed by India in a 5 game series. Isn't Kabadi our National Game?
