Introducing \"poll\" system in front page
Hello guys, I would love to see a regular poll system on our various current cricket issues in the FRONT PAGE of BanglaCricket. This way the vote will reflect the general opinion/choice/views of our fans on certain debatable factors of Bangladesh cricket/cricketers.
The poll can be featured with options like "Agree, Do not agree, Submit vote, Current results" etc. There may also be an archive of previous polls.
I would like to draw the attention of our admins for this matter. Thanks.

We had such polls before. But probably the interest was not much and we can always make polls in the forum. Anyway, we will think about it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Most of the members do not visit the front page at all. That may be the reason for less interest on the contents carried on the front page. Post the same matter on the relevant forum and the issue gets oversubscribed.

The last time I had I had a poll up was prolly a year ago. There used to be between 50-150 votes and that was only if we kept the poll for a long time. As cricketfan pointed out, there wasn't much interest.
Good suggestion nevertheless.

I go to the front page every time i come onto here. I go to the discussions link. I think that now that BanglaCricket has had exposure through BBC that 150 votes will definitely increase. I would vote

I liked the polls, the problem though was that you could leave a comment with your vote so Amit used to try and plead to be unbanned and i presume that could happen with Nishy

yep, and that was another reason the voting was closed. However, i do think there was an option to disable it.

I remember coming to this forum way back and voting for 20 to 30 times until my choice for the particular topic wins.

don't wanna open up a new thread, thats why a bit off topic post:
on the front page outside links (the news from the web), did u guys think of making them "open in new window"? i click on the link, read and usually close the window because i'm done. then, i've to open IE again and come back to this site. even without that, sometimes its too many "back" button to press to come back here. i think many other has the same problem. what u think?
