Bonus point and our clever management

Thanks to T_E for focusing on the bonus point issue, when most of us were thinknig that just a win over India would be the ticket for the finals. The fact is, we need to win 'with a bonus point'.

Now, going back to the first game, when Pakistan scored 233, we could have kept Pakistan to getting 4 points (and we would have got 1?), if we could score about 186/187 runs. This is only 23/24 runs less than what we scored (163). Now think about the last over maiden of Yunus and the sloppy batting of Ashrafool even at the death. I am sure the coach, the captain, the whole team management had no idea about this bonus point.

At least managementwise, we are a pathetic team. We do not deserve to win.

80 % responsibility is on JS and he has again proven his pathetic ability of being a coach.

I earlier thought, you are a JS fan

you are probably right about the percentage of responsibility, because most of the other management people do not come with cricket background. They are there for names and facilities only, not for cricket.

Cricinfo stated that a win over India will let us through to the final because Pakistan suffered a heavy defeat against India having a severe drop in net runrate. Even a win by 1 run will do for us.

Cricinfo is wrong, if bonus points come in to play.

Are you sure?
Usually, 5 points for win with bonus.
4 points for win without bonus
2 points each team, if no play.

An example is here

I am not sure, though, if the playing condition of the current series is different
