Marshall Ayub is definitely next in line for Bangladesh. Outstanding FC season and now he is backing it up. Good stuff.

I'm worried about our 3 bright prospects - Anamul, Shamsur and Mominul.

Mominul is hopeless in ODIs. That strike rate is horrible He seems to be a test match specialist.

Imrul Kayes should find form in ODIs soon. This is his first match after a long time so ektu nervous chilo.

EDIT: I just noticed that Anamul and Shamsur were both caught behind. Maybe it was just good line and length bowling from Kamrul Islam Rabbi. I don't know...

sooumya is a good prospect, so is rabbi. agree mominul is a test specialist. anamul is becoming a worry, shamsur has always been a bit iffy.

Marshal is looking in good touch. But we will have to wait and see his true class if he gets selected for the British tour. Cant call for his selection based on these practice games

ayub, soumya, asif and rabbi should definitely all be certainties for the A team, taskin also if he's fit. babu should be in line as well and shuvagata should be there to.

was nazimuddin really rushed in? might have been when he played those first few t20s and ODIs, can't remember but as for his more recent runs, well he's been a consistent domestic FC performer for years. maybe inexperienced in terms of matches played if you compare to other domestic competitions but he's one of the most experienced batsmen in BD, 88 FC matches, 71 list A's. he was certainly given enough time for tests, played 88 FC matches and only 3 of them are test matches and he made his test debut at the end of 2011 so he had played most of those 88 FC matches before entering the test team.

i think when it comes to picking batsman you first have to look at career record, if that checks out then you need to look at form over the last year or 2. because what you want is a consistent batsman, so you need to make sure they have it in them, best way to see that is through domestic records, then you look at recent form to make sure they didn't just have an awesome beginning and that they've kept it up.

I am sorry, what I actually meant to say is... Nazim was rushed in the squad before a lot of International exposure. Yes He had experience against other A teams at home, but away, not a lot. I feel like some away A tours will really help Marshal get into the international arena

Yeah experience in foreign conditions can only help a player so no argument, problem is there aren't enough A tours to wait for players to get that away experience.
