PESHAWAR, Pakistan, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Pakistan all rounder Shoaib Malik has retired injured from the second test against Bangladesh.
Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman Samiul Hasan told Reuters Malik would take no further part in the match.
"He has pulled his hamstring and groin muscles and is also doubtful for the third test," Hasan said.
The 21-year-old bowled just 12 overs on Wednesday's first day of the test.
The hot and humid conditions at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar have also seen fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar struggling.
He suffered vomiting and dizzy spells on the first day and bowled on Thursday with the help of a ice jacket.
