Four Noble Truths of Banglacricket (Proposed forum rules)

As a fan and member, here is my proposed set of forum rules for fun!

1. Be Nice!

That's all we ask. Google keeps it simple with 'Don't be evil'. Works for them. Should work for us.

2. Do use the report button.

It is one of our most neglected feature of our forum. Please use the report button to solve any conflicts, bring issues to light to moderators and arbitrate behind the scenes. Also do note our moderators are finest, hand-selected lot who maintain neutral vantage point and are privy to more access and knowledge which will help resolve matters in a cool head.

As an enlightened sage once wrote in this forum: "There are no us vs them. We are them." Moderators are not out there to 'get you' and paranoia is never constructive.

3. Be mindful of others

We are a diverse forum with members from different continents, countries, cultural and religious upbringing. Please be open-minded, receptive, tolerant and respectful of differing viewpoints. Some have been raised as expatriate in different set and setting from a plethora of various background and thus we will inevitably all have different interpretations of the elephant.

4. Try to maintain a helpful attitude instead of a combative, argumentative one

Be open minded and receptive. Instead of assuming a newbie is opening an account to ask a seeming stupid question on 'how to save a file' you might find she may very well turn out to be an 80 year old grandma.

Please don't jump to conclusions and snidely attack a member thinking he must be trolling. Do use the report button if you may. (See #2)


And finally...

Have FUN!!!!

This is the most important rule of all. We are all one team who convene here to share same passion. It's absolutely stupid and childish to ruin friendship over any silly arguments. Sure, we encourage challenging different opinions and engaging in healthy debate and arguments, however...

...in order to the the most bang for your buck and THE Banglacricket experience, we encourage you to take your session only when you are feeling absolutely great. Sure you are more than welcome to log in anytime, but you are having a negative time, it is perhaps best not to take that frustration out here on one of our members.

And yes, we all have difficult time and we are here for each other to help each other out. We are one family who are really there in times of difficulty and needs.

Actually got the idea from Jadukor to K.I.S.S from his attempted take over of BC in his ICL-esque alternate forum during attack. I wonder whatever happened to that site... LOL!
