I remember those old days when we used to fight over who is Abahani and who is Mohammedan. If you are a Mohammedan fan and you lost against Abahani, forget about coming out to play in the afternoon or go to school the next day.

If you go by the Bangla meaning and pronunciation it is 'Abahoni', actually there's no such word as Abahani. But you see, the founders of the club was very highly educated. So obviously they misspelled and made that the offical version.

Abahoni used to be the heart and soul of everything....
God i missed that passion...

Been an Abahani fan ever since I could remember. Loved the players and their style of play early on. Got older, learned the 'history' and connection behind the club, and almost puked. Then again, Mohammedan has their own 'connections' as well.

However, you know what they say about first love. I love the team for its players and their style. Have no interest in the politics that goes on behind the scene. It's like this, I'm pretty sure if Hitler had a kid, the kid could have grown up to be Ghandi.

Good to see them bouncing right back into the top of the league. Abahani all the way.
