Mushfiq. He can be both stable and aggressive.

i'd say imrul, nazmus, aftab and kapali should be at the top of the list. SN is the fall back guy imo. imrul has performed domestically so give him a good number of games to see whether he can score. nazmus i've always thought was a bit hard done by, he's consistent in all formats domestically and is also handy with the ball. aftab imo is on the list but needs to prove that he can play big innings before being brought back to the national team. kapali needs to score some domestic runs to show he's learnt something over the last few years of being out of the national team. mushy can open against teams with weaker pace attacks, i'm not sure he's ready to do it consistently againsts quality pace attacks (although who is? right).

Imrul, Zunaed, SN, Aftab, Nafis Iqbal - they have the edge in experience. But all have prove themselves in domectics and "A" team.
Don't consider Kapali as an opener.
Nazimuddin is not an answer in ODI.

Confused. I think no one. Someone has to prove it at first.

Imrul could do much better than Junaed, could be good thing left right combination. Shariar Nafees other option, at least he could do some big score if he settle down there unlike Junaed. So, my point is that Junade should be taken off from the opening slot.

thats BS rlly. how cud we not have a better option than somebody who consistently scores 9-15. even a full time bowler cud manage Junaid's average if he was put in as an opening batsman.

I doubt. He will be a useful player inshallah, but won't be able to keep his place for long time. He has severe problems with his temperament and is not habituated in scoring big runs. Even in domestic cricket he is not well known for big scores. We need two good openers who can score big regularly. Tamim is going to be one of them inshallah. But the other place is matter of real worry.

Once back from the ban, I am sure SN will get a shot at it. He is one of the more complete batsman in BD. He has shown his ability against good bowling attack, also I dont know how many of us watched it, but SN's innings for ICL BD against ICL India was breath taking. He single handedly won the game for us. If he is able to translate that sort of form, I think he will remain uncontested

Thats a good logic and quite like the idea however I would like to see him at number 3 to utilize that stability and endure the bulk of the overs with a strike rate of 75+ and hitting out at the end

I would favour Junaid over SN, simply because Junaid has a much better ability playing against swinging deliveries, these days Junaid rarely gets out by technical errors against full deliveries, where as SN would regurlarly get beaten by swinging full balls.
Junaid also packs much more power.

I would say give Mushy a shot, he is a capable candidate. He will probably need some getting used to first.

I would favor junaid over SN, but for test matches SN may probably get the nod.
Aftab and Nazim can slot in as well but both have to perform to a standard in local cricket.

Think before vote:
HHS. Those who can't bat between 3 and 7, we expect them to open for our national team????
What are we smoking here? Or Our standard is so low that we have to resort to this sort of madness?

Shahreer Nafees proved a lot regarding his position. For some reason He is better than Tamim! We should think about test too, shouldn't we?

Imrul should get a chance, imo.
He's been knocking on the door lately and since Zunaed has failed to impress, it should be Imrul's chance to have a go.
In test, i would not mind giving the Iqbal brothers a go.
