Default The Darren Gough Interview - biggest joke IMO

Link

Quote:
....believes Australia's ageing players could become a weakness for the world champions. As the Ashes tour approaches, Gough, 34, said the advancing years of England's opponents were a bonus.

......they've been around for a long while. That should be seen as a positive for England.
lame, very lame

Quote:
....said it was important not to underestimate Australia because they were a great side...
what?! angul chosha bacchao eta jane...why would anyone even think of taking the aussies easily?

Quote:
....with no disrespect to Warney, he can bat but he's not probably a Test match No. 8, more like a No. 9....
i know it makes a difference, but how big?

question: dail ta ki gough khaise naki cricinfor reporter khaise?

Well Gough should bite his tongue before say something silly- he himself is 34 and trying to return to the England team!!! Isn't that ironic?

LOL... well a player can have his own opinion although the opinion seems so wrong. A team can be old and still be good.

He's simply trying to come in the limelight, now that his cricketing talents alone no longer making the cut.

I dont know why some of u r finding Gough's opinion so offensife and wrong, end of the day he is an English player and when it comes to Ashes they will always try to believe that they can beat the aussies. What do u expect him to say, that Aussies r unbeatable and we stand no chance in hell in the Ashes? Even though he isnt in the test team but he is just showing faith in England. Ofcourse they r gonna built their morale by finding negative aspects of their oponent. Beside its not only Gough but a lot of other people r saying it too that Australians have a few too many players over 30 compare to other teams and u cant deny that!

of course australia have a lot of players above 30...but that doesn't make them any less competitive or give england an advantage (it is in fact a very unprofessional and immature comment from Gough), and the biggest irony is that he himslef is 34 and still trying to get back to the English team.

however, it doesn't stop there. he says that it is important not to underestimate Australi as they're a great side. which fool would underestimate them? by making this statement he is actually implying that england may take the Aussies easily...what has England done to act so complacent? Besides, isn't it obvious that taking the Aussies easily is the same as assuming DJ is not from Pabna ()?

next he says that warne is more of a number nine in tests than a number eight...does it make a lot of difference? hah...

besides, he's loosing his sleep over warne's batting when the england team are going to have to bowl their butts out to restrict the top and middle order, and then bat their butts out to prevent warnie from getting the better of them!

i mean - he's giving an interview! the least that he can do is "think" before talking!
