BCB to name BD A team soon ( for England)
BCB will select a 18 man squad. 14 of them will go to England and rest of the 4 as stand-by.
Here is my pick for 18 players
1. Golam Rahman
2. Forhad Reza
3. Mehrab Hussain Opee ( p/t wicket-keeper, he did it before)
4. Hasanuzzaman Rosel
5. Alok Kapali ( bat and LB, should bowl as much as he can)
6. Tushar Imran ( should bowl OB every now and then)
7. Nazimuddin
8. Moniruzzaman
9. Mehrab Hussain Jr. (p/t SLA)
10. Shahin Ahmed/Hussain (w/k)
11. Saqib Al Hasan (SLA)
12. Manjarul Islam Rana (SLA)
13. S K Russel
14. Safaq Al Zabir
15. Wyascurni Palash
16. A 'tear-away' pace bowler ( either Talha or Shahadat)
17. Mushfiqur Rahman ( could be useful in limited over) matches
18. Tareq Aziz
Other national discards like Al Shahriar et al really do not deserve a chance. Shame that Hannan didn't regain his confidence and had an indifferent NCL season. Md. Sharif has always been a tad bit over rated. Had he excelled with bat to go with medium-fast bowling would have stood a good chance.

Looks like you didn't pick any player from U-19 squad. I read somewhere that most of the selectors are in favor of putting more U-19 players in A team.

Mushfiqur Rahim who is currently with the national team in England should also be included. He probably wont get too many matches on this tour.

BD A team will be announced on next Tuesday.
Bangladesher Khela
According to the report Mushfiqur Rahim, Enamul, Rajib, and Abir playing for the A team for sure. Tushar, Talha, and Munir may also play. Kapali will be the captain.
Based on practice matchse, I think it is safe to assume Nazimuddin, Shamsur Rahman, Golam Rahman, Alamgir Kabir, Sakibul Hasan and Abdur Razzak are also coming.
If you add Mushfiq Babu and Rana with the team, it will be a good one.

Before starting today's play Atahar commented like "Nafis Iqbal could be selected for the A team".
I don't think we will see a lot of new faces in the coming A tour.

I thin the A side shoul could contain some of the younger national players such as Nafees Iqbal, Shahriar Nafees, Mushfiqur Rahim(if fit) Ashraful(certainly) Aftab, Nazmul Hossain,Shahdat, etc Our board needs to think long term.

Where is Shariar Hoassain Biddyut? Why does he vanish after losing his place in the Bangladesh team?

I just can not believe how quick we promote people like Aftab, Nazmul and Shahdat, Enamul who were only playing u19 games not so long ago.

We need to try Ashraful before we can pick for the ODIs. Given the poor form Rajin has shown of late, Ashraful despite his poor scores gets an automatic selection in the main team for the ODIs. But before the ODI any practice matches would help him regain his confidence. He is a very little man but seems to walk after facing every delivery with some pride. It's good to see ...

We might give Aftab another go just to let him blast the opposition team with his classy stroke play. I thought Nafis Iqbal deserved some games. He was underachieved and so was Bashar but he is our captain. So i think both Rajin and Nafis should be given opportunites to play with A team to prove their talent in English conditions. The last thing they need now is to go to BD knowing that they have failed miserably. Before the next test match, they need to regain their confidence.
