Default ***BC Drowning***

BanglaCricket.com is a ghost town. Why don’t the admins do something? Forums like ICF and Pakpassion has lots of admins that always come up with different things to keep users engaged. Why BC admin happy with mediocrity?

Most of them don’t want to pass on power. Many mods/admins retired. Yet there’s no rush to add new ones, or take the titles away from the old ones. Simply they are letting BC drown. It’s not the members, it’s the top management. Lack of incentives from them feeds off to members.

ICF and Pakpassion do a lot to keep members engaged. BC hardly does anything.

BC top management is turning far worse than BPL committee.
saddened at how they are letting BC die.

For the sake of reviving BC Nasif Should step down from his position.

He does not have a vision for BC. Lacks creativity! Doesn’t have a clue what to do.

Nasif even failed upgrading BC - than he said will try again in the summer or something.
Now it’s nearly one year since the failed upgrade.

The problem is at the head. He should sell BC or find better people to run it.

The only people that tried to keep bc alive from the senior team are

Nightwolf and Jadukor! They have been regular posters here.

The active mods try their best to keep it going.

But when the head doesn’t have a vision for BC what can the mods do?

Time Nasif resigns and gives it to someone with a better vision/skill/ability etc

Do you do other things than just complain?

This is a private own forum not a public one

Yep. That’s why I’m telling Nasif to sell the forum.
He doesn’t have any vision with BC!

Why keep hold of something that your not interested in improving?

Nasif should come out and put BC up for sale. I’m sure they will find the right owner.
The owner/owners that will take BC to a new level and revive it.

Under Nasif leadership/ownership it has been going down.

It’s very difficult when the forum is privately owned.
Unless the owners take incentive to change and improve, nothing will happen.

It would be a blessing for all of us BC members if the owners sell BC.
Give it to people that can take BC forward.

I highly doubt this will happen.

Should encourage more Indians and Pak lurkers to register and post regularly. Encounters of different nationalities, lively and often spicy discussions, people with diverse opinions and thoughts are some of the key elements of a popular and vibrant forum. Pakpassion would be a boring place without Indians and Bangladeshis same is true for ICF. I have no issues with the mods here but I think some members can be a bit more tolerant dealing with who they think are trolls. I am not saying you guys are any less welcoming or anything but phrases like "Go back to your own forums" or "you are not welcome here" is what drives the lurkers and potential members away. And of course it would be great if the old members could take some time off their busy schedules and post here a little more often.

User engagement and retention is the main issue.

ICF/PP do a lot to keep users engaged. For retention (cool point system etc)

I received more love and affection here than any other forum and I don't see why that can't be extended to new members here. A little pat on the back can encourage people to contribute more than what they usually do.

Most old members are gone and probably ain't coming back, BC is struggling to deal with that fact. I am sure they were all amazing members and their no longer here is a huge loss to BC but this forum must move on and try to introduce fresh blood. People will come and people will go and BC needs to evolve and keep rolling. I agree with you btw on the user retention point.

Nasif doesn't own this forum. Moderates and Admin are all volunteers.

Do you want to donate money for the upgrades or maintenance? If "no", then we end our conversation here.

Whoever owns this forum needs to sell it.
Give it to people that can use it better.

Roy, You get the admiration and true affection here in BC because of your own kind, loving and highly respectful demeanor, the way you engage with people and the way you show respect to the people, culture, history of Bangladesh and also for people's religious sensitive faith (in this case Islam as most majority of Bangladeshis are of Islamic faith and look at the way you wish Eid Mubarak, look at the way you address people here, when you don't come from an Islamic faith background. You are Bengali Indian, I see you as a man who is very modest, yet proud of your Indian heritage, your Bengali culture and literature and everything Bengali and show respect and admiration for Bangladesh as an independent entity, you understand and honor BD people's thought process and very particular sensitiveness) - that is often very rare and superbly admirable.

There are few others Non-Bangladeshi gems like Roy that are active a lot here in BC.
aklemalp - Guyanese - South American Sikh (Paramanand Singh)
Brockley - White protestant Australian
Gowza - White Australian
Horizon - Indian

Roy, without you and the guys listed above BC wouldn't be complete and the way it is today.

Then we also have Bharat, IanW, Padoshan, Pritikul, Zainab, Xaviar, Tintin - they don't post as mush, but always keepign up with BC by occasional posting.
