Immaturity is a word we often hear when ever a youngster like Nafis, Shamsur, Ash or Kapali start off very well in an innings and then out of the blue go for a rash shot that jeopardises the team. So how much maturity is asked for when they step into the limelight of international cricket. Possibly 100 percent if you are in the National team. But then you can go on and argue that we have seen illustrius players like Viv or Inzammam play rash shots too. How much of the "immaturity" blame can we use really?
Moreover, whose responsibility is to address this problem: the coach, selector, the board, the club or para he was found in or back to the parents. Another thought is, how many of our senior players carry this "immaturity" with them all the way to the later days of their careers? Many I suspect.
