Default Pakistan refuse to travel to Dharamshala due to security concerns

Pakistan sent three men to make a report about security situation and based on that Pakistan decided not to visit Dharamshala and asking for a venue change.

Yeah PCB, Kolkata is not safe for your team either (give Mustafiz a rest, instead of having him run after your brainless boys)

PCB is not at fault here. BCCI failing to provide adequate security. Why should Pakistan visit then?

Matters not.

This is Pakistan/BCCI's problem. Let them both throw their toys out the pram.

seriously, couldn't care less. if PCB wants to earn brownie points by latching onto HP CM's baseless politically motivated comments, only they are to blame.

they anyway get little chance to play internationals at home, if they decide to drop out of ICC tournaments for show boating, then good riddance !

Very ignorant post. The chief minister is saying they won't be able to provide security. The match is in their den. If they don't provide security who will provide then? Have not seen any statement from top government officials about the security. They are just silent. Only a handful of people giving vague assurance. Even the meetings were not held with the visiting team from Pakistan. They sent them to judge the situation and you don't even hold a meeting with these guys? And blaming them not for coming over?

dear fan of kohli's socks, the only one completely ignorant of the situation is you. this is India, not pakistan. adequate security will be provided, either in dharmasala or elsewhere (if match is shifted) with or without the CM of HP agreeing. (who is simply trying to deflect attention from a massive corruption investigation against him and his family)
edit - the issue has already been fully addressed by this http://www.dnaindia.com/sport/report...-singh-2185569

BUT, if the pakistanis behave like prima donna and want special treatment or jamai ador, sorry, ain't gonna happen.
if that means they will boycott the tournament, then so be it.

Blaming the BCCI is probably a bit harsh as ots hard to change venues on short notice.

tbh I think for the first time PCB is not at fault here. An authority figure of the concern state said they cant provide security. It may be political but Pakistan doesn't need to know that, its India's internal affair. Pak sent a security team and the team reported its not safe. its not like PCB is saying they dont want to play in India at all, they requested to move that one match from that questioned state. its understandable

I guess Indians must be feeling now how we felt when Australia decided not to tour us.

^^ Don't see how. India will get few free points, and rest of the WC will go on, nothing to lose for them.

Well it didn't stop the WC from happening in BD too, and we too benefited by playing Nepal in the second round, that's not the point. Pak sent a security team like Aus did, both were unsatisfied, both cited security as a risk, although Aus didn't even tour BD something tells me Pak is still going to go ahead with the tour. Anyways, one team pulling out does not affect the country's credibility as a host, Australia didn't really affect BD and I am sure Pak won't either. Just needless drama if you ask me. I am sure BD and India are both safe.

LOL "Pakistan worried about security". This is equivalent to "Taliban worried about terrorism". PCB being PCB. What a joke of a board.

It is only a sensational thread title made by Kohli_Sox, PCB has not refused to play in Dharamsala, only made a suggestion to move the match to an alternative venue.

I can assure you that PCB will go and play because beggars cant be choosers.. But before they go they will try to make a big drama about it... because PCB and Pakistan cricket team is full of Dramabaaz...

Authorities threatened not to provide security as a protest against Paksitan's policy of sending militants to India.

However, a spank from BCCI led them to change their stance, so Pakistan has no valid reason to avoid playing the match.

As someome said on pakpassion it means the security is given reluctantly...ie reasonable to not have confidence in such security. PCB should demand a venue change and if not just forfeit the points. They would lose the game anyways as theynhave never beaten India in a WC.
