Default How many players england should REST for the test series agaisnt BD ???

they way BD are playing and they way England are playing and considering england conditions, we have an uphill task.

also with form of players in warmups , and injuries coming, this is a good chance for England to rest some of their players and try some new players before the all important ashes.

but for me even if they rest their best 100 players still it would be tough for them to play more than 3 days of test cricket against BD

yup, they will test out all of new players. this will make Bangladesh an edge but they will still probably fail to make a mark in the series.

They'll play better against England. Two more weeks to go. They'll get used to the conditions more, also the temp. is likely to go up a bit by then. All good! And even top nations have got beaten once in a while by club teams, so it's okay.

comeone guys you all know that even big teams sometime loose against these county teams in their practice matches.. England might rest KP just to allow him to spend sometime with his family.

What is matter is not that we lost against Essex : the matter is that we lost a 3 day game and we were outplayed

Not a single one. If by any chance BD win a match we will start to celebrate for nothing (WI series 2009). Er cheye full team nie kheluk with full effort. We will be smashed away but whatever we will achieve will be original achievement not fake like WI series. We should face reality.

depends -
if we want to win a match - Eng. should rest 1,000 of their top players
if we don't care about the result - then who cares?

Aus lost to somerset[correct me if Im wrong] in 2005, India lost to a county side in early 2000s, these things happen. Plus Zimbabwe/Australia showed in the recent T20 WC that warm up matches mean squat. I am sure we will give England a run for their money

Don't share this information with anyone of BC(Bangla Cricket) members cause they will cost a big trouble to accomplish ECB's dream. according to secret reliable source: last night in BBC radio showed a secret meetings of ECB's top managements personnels, after a long lasting restless discussion they came out to solution that they will urge for BD-A team's English nationality petition soon to their highness prince Charles who will immediately accept it so that these new British will face Bangladesh national team at their home ground. And management is very please and happy with such vision cause they have full confidence in their future newborn British team(BD-a team), which ECB management believe that these bunch of new British team will give a pure white wash to BD national team without a slight contest.

Please guys don't tell to any BC members, then BC members will go for half night hunger strike protesting such novel step of ECB.

Awesome, so that means that it will probably be the U-19 players. Man they will pee when the get a treatment of Ash, and the deliveries of Shakib. ON the other hand, Mushy and Big Z will make them wait in the burning sun. Imrul Kayes and Naeem will entertain them while Jahurul will keep their wickets intact.

By the way, smart decision. We are useless. All blame goes to LOTUS AND JAMIE

Hey BD can be referred as BD. I think we are going to face our U-19 team, and also we will lack Tamim, SHAK AND Mash. We will lose then, only he, you know who can rescue us

Those were just warm ups. Our players were relaxed and had some health problems. Zim defeated Aus and Pak in WU but did not even go to the S8 while Pak when to semi and Aus to final. So WU does not matter

Anyway, it is just our 11th year in test cricket, while we have a pure youth team. Also do not forget that it took Eng to wait for 35 years to win a championship, and NZ 32 years for their first test match victory.

in 2100, somalia will show the example ..... BD havent won a test against a full strength G24 side in 100 years.

nb: in 2100 somalia will be the 32nd country to get test status and the current G8 will expand to G24.

They should rest all their players. The way their club teams are winning I doubt we will do any good with their International Team.

How about they rest all pacers who ever played for England, or the Lions, or is a top 3 pacer in a county? Oh, and Swann, Collingwood, and Bopara the spinner.

Our rookie bowlers will do well (Robiul and Shafi), our batsmen won't.

One umpire is better than 5 players. So, it does not matter who they are resting, umpires will be there to play for them. The UDRS is not in place, although the way it is used it can also produce biased results by the upires.

English players are not going to become any Hercules; but our own players and the umpires will make them giants.
