Umpiring vs New Zealand on 1st ODI
Did not watch the full match, but reading the cricinfo report, seems like there were a few hiccups. Can someone lighten me on the overall quality and what were the incidents and who benefited them?
I don't have much expectation though, since Moni was umpiring.

Well they clearly did not give a stumping on ZunaidS. He was out, although the third umpire thought he was on the line so gave him benefit of doubt. However Danny Morrison was on fire - Direct Galis to BD umpire Saikat.
BD Players went through hell on umpiring. Although it was not a right decision but I can say BD can get a break

I was so mad at Atahar for not sticking up for Bangladesh. Morisson was like oh i'm sorry but they need to get a neutral third umpire, this local guy is not doing it. We are always the one that gets all the bad decision. And just this once the decision goes on our side we have to hear crap like that. Our commentator's need to grow some "courage".

Athar was the one who fought for bangladesh and bash umpires when we were robbed by the umpires in multan against pak in 2003

Atahar did speak up, when vettori was not given out due to the fact, it was full-toss over the waist length bowled by Riyad.
Atahar said, it should have been out, since the law says ball must be over the shoulder height for slower paced bowler. He was really angry and Danny was really silent.
I guess, the umpires don't know too much of the rules themselves.
Also, there were a lot of wide bouncers that moni didn't call a wide.

Agree sy baba. This is what happens when you get stuttering, ineloquent parrots like shamim because that just opens up room for others to walk all over you. We badly need some articulate commies who understand the game. Isam bhai raji asenni?
On a plus point shamim has improved a lot as for reading the game.

Junaid that was a bad call...but didn't impact match that much since he only scored 10 runs at a slowish rate after that.
vettori should also have been given out, because razzak was given out on similar fashion. again, it didnt make muhc difference as vettori got out shortly thereafter anyways.
apart from that, not many umpiring errors...shakib got robbed of a 5er it seems, but oh well.

as for stupid commentators, when we were nearly winning today, and athar was going on about how this is the first time we are winning back to back matches against a g8 side barring WI since it was a second string teamt, hat danny person or some nz commy was like," oh that wasn't even a second string team,i should say a 3rd string team rather..." sour grapes...
