Ian Chappell, Australia and no Bangladesh, Kenya or Zimbabwe
This read was great only to find that Ian Chappel does not even count BD as one of the emerging cricket nation.

Well, BD are not contenders to compete with Australia, so there's no need mentioning them really. Although not official, there is an unspoken tier system in the world of cricket, and Bangladesh is part of the second tier for the time being, along with Windies and Zimbabwe. We have to wait until the next world cup to see if BD can climb into tier 1.

Why do u guys always have to attack ppl who dont sing praises of BD cricket.
And why do v guys always have to look at Outsiders to say that we are good as per them.
BD has lost the ODI and the Test match series at Home..What were you expecting Ian to say?

I actually agree with you. I don't see any need for him to write about us if doesn't want to. Do we think every writer, cricketer in the World will mention us in every thing they write? at least he didn't mention anything wrong about us so just pass this... not every thing is about us you know.

This is so typical of Ian C. I am not griping about Bangladesh. He purposely leftout SA. Is it because smith falls in to that 27-33 age bracket he mentioned? The gap between 1 - 2 is too much as of now. All SL and SA can do is chip at it and make it narrower. Chappel is underestimating Murali. He is the energizer bunny of cricket. he will not stop untill he reaches 1000 wkts.

i don't blame ian... how often do WE talk about the likes of nepal, uganda and the UAE? canada and ireland beat us on their day also...
ian will take notice if we MAKE him by putting together a string of victories.
