আগামী ২৯ সেপ্টেম্বর শুরু হচ্ছে এবারের যুব এশিয়া কাপ। এই টুর্নামেন্টের জন্য বুধবার ১৪ সদস্যের দল ঘোষণা করে বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড (বিসিবি)।

প্রতিযোগিতায় বাংলাদেশ দলকে নেতৃত্ব দিবেন তৌহিদ হৃদয়। সহ-অধিনায়কের দায়িত্ব পেয়েছেন শামিম হোসেন।

দুই ভেন্যূতে হবে এবারের প্রতিযোগিতা। 'এ' গ্রুপের ম্যাচগুলো হবে ঢাকায়। এই গ্রুপের দলগুলো হলো: ভারত, আফগানিস্তান, নেপাল ও সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাত। আর 'বি' গ্রুপের ম্যাচগুলো হবে চট্টগ্রামে। এই গ্রুপে খেলবে বাংলাদেশ, পাকিস্তান, শ্রীলঙ্কা ও হংকং। উদ্বোধনী দিনে শ্রীলঙ্কার বিপক্ষে ম্যাচ দিয়ে যাত্রা শুরু করবে বাংলাদেশ।

সেমি-ফাইনাল ও ফাইনাল হবে মিরপুর শের-ই-বাংলা জাতীয় ক্রিকেট স্টেডিয়ামে।

অনূর্ধ্ব-১৯ দল: তৌহিদ হৃদয় (অধিনায়ক), শামিম হোসেন (সহ-অধিনায়ক), তানজিদ হাসান তামিম, সাজিদ হাসান, প্রান্তিক নওরোজ, অমিত হাসান, আকবর আলী, শাহাদাত হোসেন দিপু, রকিবুল হাসান, রিশাদ হোসেন, শরিফুল ইসলাম, মেহেদী হাসান, মৃত্যুঞ্জয় চৌধুরী, অভিষেক দাস অরন্য

He is the guy who got selected for the Bangladesh A team for the first class games against Sri Lanka.

Would have loved to see some video footage of these U-19 batsmen. This team is full of Anamulesque batsmen with zero footwork I bet And the sad part is, their technique won't be rectified before coming to the national team.

Shocking batting performance...granted U-19 should really be about individual player development.

I'm looking only at the bowlers in this team: Shorif, Mrittunjoy, and Rishad, all 3 named "Mohammad".

What do we actually know about this u19 team? Aside from the bowlers only batsman I recognise is towhid and he got a ton in the u19 WC and also did well domestically.

Hopefully first match jitters, still not a good sign.
