After a month of Meditation and Training in China, I just came back today. I was at a loss if I should indeed come back to BC.

at the risk of branded a xenophone i shall share an anecdote..
i have a chinese admirer. she is really a very sweet girl. a little too girly for my taste but her affection towards her friends is genuine. she invites them to eat with her regularly. i have been invited numerous times and have now run out of excuses. a second visit has to be made soon as otherwise she would think i am being rude. the problem is the food. she is very traditionally chinese. she loves cooking but that cooking can be quite revolting. i am sure her chinese friends love the food but to my western palate, the smell is just overbearing. one excuse that i had used in the past had been that i am a vegetarian and she eats a lot of meat, i wouldn't feel comfortable sitting on a table with meat eaters. yet, perhaps that excuse is running thin too.
