It should not be a summary punishment....it should exclude the player(s) who did really good in the inning(s) in a losing cause....I mean in a bad defeat...

That is quite stupid actually. It is not like the players lose the matches intentionally. They are just not "good enough" to win matches regularly at that level. Our best is better than what we are playing now, and therein lies the crux of all questions. How do we elevate our playing level to that of our potential? The Srilankans do that professionally, probably better than anybody else in the Subcontinent. While I am against financial penalties as that will cause more harm than good, I also oppose the fountain of rewards every once in a blue moon that we manage to win a game. The players should not be exalted to godlike levels like we do, especially our government and administration boards. Our expectations need to be practical. That DS reader will perhaps have a better grip of the reality and what ought to be done simply by becoming a daily visitor at Banglacricket.com.
