Which nation produces the best set of quality spinners?
Just to see your honest opinions because it is clear Bangladesh main strength in bowling are their slow spinners but are their spin bowlers one of the best? You can vote for more than 1 nation if you're stuck between 2 or more nations on who produces the best spinners thanks guys!
But this is an interesting poll regarding Bangladesh spinners because we heard of some saying that Bangladesh third or fourth level spinners are good enough to be in the Australian or South African first team when it comes to spin bowling if they had the chance to do so. Surely this must show that Bangladesh is a nation that has the ability to produce some of the best spinners in the World of Cricket. Even the top Bangladesh spinners in our International teams across all formats have fantastic records now and some are ranked in the top 10 in various formats.

i guess going over many years india has been really good at producing top quality spinners. lately pakistan has been good, sri lanka has been good. BD are starting to produce some quality now, shakib, gazi and sunny all have the potential to play full long careers averaging 30 or under which for spinners is pretty good, alos razzak is a really good limited overs bowler and we still have enam taking huge amounts of wickets not even in the squad.

sri lanka has talent but they haven't produced many top quality spinners, murali of course but then i'd say herath is the next best and after herath there aren't many who are backed up with stats.

We produce only S L A. And in case of spin probably S L A are the weakest bowler far behind Leggi and offi.

True but don't forget Bangladesh still have off and leg bowlers like Gazi, Noor, Marshall, Alok etc all off and leg spin. Its only just a coincidence/luck that Bangladesh are full of SLA at the moment but we do have variety all around the country.

No brotherhood over there.
Warne and McGill alone should get 10 votes, each.

The best spinner needs to able to rip it, spin it and drift it. Keeping that in mind, I voted for Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan. I'll put England and Australia in the shelf below, and despite the success of our flat, containment-centric slow bowling success in the shorter formats, Bangladesh and West Indies below them. New Zealand, South Africa and Zimbabwe will fill the bottom shelf.

Pakistan has this uncanny ability to produce bowlers, both set of pace and spinners.
Naturally gifted.

In my opinion, India comes first, followed by Pakistan, Sri Lanka and then maybe Bangladesh.
India can produce all types of spinners with ease. And see their backup and emerging spinners are good enough to play for most other teams. India are just not patient enough with them. For instance Amit Mishra is a terrific leggie, yet he is just not good enough for them.
Pakistan always produces quality spinners. They might not have the numbers of India, but individual capabilitywise they always have terrific players. Mushtaq Ahmed was replaced by Saqlain who was replaced by Kaneria, and now Ajmal. Pretty soon they ll have someone else.
Sri Lanka also has a lot of good spinners. But heres the problem. Everyone expects a Muralitharan. But you cant always produce Murali's.
Surprised to see 41% believe Bangladesh produces the best group of spinners. True we have a lot of spinners, and competition is intense, but individual quality wise they are not world class. Shakib for instance solely relies on accuracy, arm ball, and the orthodox spin deliveries, same could be said about Razzak. In comparison Herath has the carrom ball, the one that goes the other way, and a number of other mystery deliveries. So while you will see Herath destroying batting lineups, Shakib perhaps wont do the same. This is why having someone like Saqlain is important on full time basis. Pakistani youngsters have people to look upto, learn from. Same with Indian kids and Sri Lankans. In Bangladesh apart from Rafique there really isnt anyone to inspire the next generation.

Agree to Jeesh....but in terms of Quality I would place Pak over India ... But India definitely produces more in number. Pick any decade, Pak spinners were better than Indian..

India has quantity while Pakistan has quality . Saeed Ajmal and Reza Hassan would be in my T20/ODI team any day over Ashwin or Bhajji.

Certainly not India anymore; Dont wanna rephrase what our captain comments on their bowling at Asia cup. I'll go with all other SC teams except them ftb.

If we are talking about over the last 20-30+ years or so. Pakistan easily takes this one. Abdul Qadir, Saqlain Mustaq, Mushtaq Ahmed and now Saed Ajmal. Even Afridi has turned his bowling around completely. Heck even Kaneria was a good spinner before he started cheating, or maybe he was cheating all along who knows.
