Crappy Ticketing service by GrameenPhone, Damn you lazy BCB
11.30am, Grameen Phone Center, Farmgate, Dhaka
Cricket Fans: Give us Ticket!
GP Center: Ticket is not available today. And we cant guarantee tomorrow neither . But you can book your ticket via MobiCash.
Cricket Fans: WTF!
Wth is MobiCash?
(Fans started to show anger)
Why fans have to BUY their ticket this way? what kind of service is it?
As if this is as valuable match as those of World Cup.Didn't expect such ugly mentality from renowned company like GP.
BCB is too indifferent to monitor this. they dont care how the companies act after getting the right of distributing ticket. damn!

What's wrong with MobiCash method of purchasing? I would prefer it if the actual distribution of the product is streamlined. Just curious.

Because GP is forcing us to use that service. That's why fans reacting after going to the GP center spending a busy day in this intolerable summer heat. All they want us to recharge their SIM anyway by registering!! OK, it can be applied if their is long row for the ticket but in real their are only few fans not vast like WC. They can be given direct ticket easily without any trouble.
If it was any Bank their would not be such harassment. AB bank used to serve well. BCB doesn't have any headache to this. They got the money from GP and GP is looking for extra profit. amra khaitesi baash majh khan theke. :-(

the problem is in the end i will have to go to same place to collect ticket.
normally i pay them money, they give us ticket.
but for mobicash, recharge ur mobile. then send SMS, send confirmation, recieve confirmation. then again go to the same place, show SMS and get ticket.
in both cases u have to go to same place and u have to stand in the same line.

No home delivery? No code that you can swipe at the gate to get in? So it is 1/2 assed and not a complete no human intervention system. And do you have to have GP SIM to buy or other provider clients can also purchase via MobiCash?
They need to take it one step further.
I haven't stood in line to buy tickets or receive tickets for events (sports/concerts/movies) in a very long time including the WC. I have either printed it after purchase myself or swiped my credit card at kiosks to get the tickets. That reduces long lines and lathi charges. Is it doable yet in Bangladesh? The last step?

Does it mean, if you are not a GP customer, you can not get a ticket?
I like the idea very much. This is how digital things work in our beloved country.
With buying GP products, you are helping the digitalization. And by going through all those TEPATIPI steps, you are making yourself familiar with the digital world. At the end, you receive an e-Ticket number; but wait.... that's not a real ticket, you have to collect the real ticket going to the GPC.
In analog days, it was only felo kori, makho tel system, i.e., go to the Bank (equivalent to this GPC), pay the money and get the real ticket.
What a moronic system!!! They call it e-Ticket!!!!

make life easy: plain and simple!
Just sell the tickets at their website and print the tickets and that's it. pay online.
the problem is does everyone in Bangladesh use Credit Card/Debit Card/paypal? then the online solution goes down the drain

Sir, I like this idea very much. I think this is very realistic and something that can be done and should be done!

But everyone has a mobile phone and hence that is a viable alternative if thought through completely. Mobile commerce is the next big thing. m-commerce will replace e-commerce for a huge chunk of consumer use cases.

They should have offered both (and independent) options: online (printable e-Ticket or barcode on mobile phone) and paper ticket.
In general, Norway is a country with unnecessarily complicated bureaucratic processes. (For a comparison, a residence permit extension in Germany requires 10 minutes and in Norway, it takes 3 to 4 months) .In Bangladesh situation is even worse. So, you can not expect a straight-forward solution when it is coming from Telenor&GP, especially if making the process easy does not earn them money.

The better idea is dont even bother going to the stadium. Just watch it on TV. This might teach BCB GP a lesson. Besides why go through so much trouble when we pretty much know the outcome of this series..

He has probably been watching BD cricket for a long time, everyone gets all excited before a series against one of the big teams and then BD gets humiliated and everyone starts waiting for the next series to repeat the same thing.

If you know your team, you'd know where and when to get excited. If you can't keep an even keel, then too bad...
You = everyone in general
